Hi, everyone. I'm Helen Hares and I live in Competa, Spain. I've been in the hospitality industry near enough all my life, with my parents having a pub, me and my husband having a fish and chip shop, and then we ran a convenience store due to illness. I wanted to come and live abroad. I'm so much healthier. And we came here and our children didn't want to move with us and we've got plenty of space, so what we were going to do, decided to set up the bed and breakfast. Thoroughly enjoy being with people. Seemed a bright sort of thing to do. Always mixing with people. Been doing it for nearly 18 years. It wasn't something that bed and breakfast and something really that Spain knew in those days, so it was a battle to get it done. But I thoroughly enjoyed doing it.
