A short YouTube monologue arguing that many people prefer remote work because they dislike the office environment. The speaker advises prioritizing strong Wi‑Fi and adaptable, laptop-friendly spots within existing spaces rather than building a dedicated, formal workstation or desk.
The reality is people don't want to feel like they're in an office. The reason people aren't going back to their offices is because they enjoy working remotely. I think it's less important to carve out, like, a desk, a super nice workstation, and it's more important to make sure that you have excellent WI fi and make sure there are spaces that are conducive to setting up a laptop, optimizing the spaces that you do have rather than feeling like you have to create a new dedicated workspace. No one wants to just sit at a boring desk.
