A short-form first-person YouTube video by Mark Simpson describing his transition from a corporate banking role into real estate and technology entrepreneurship. He recounts testing short-term rentals in his properties, attending a technology-focused conference in London that inspired him, and subsequently leaving his bank role to grow his company.
Really. I've been in real estate for a while and over time we had folks that would rent from us and they actually operated our properties as short term rentals. And I kind of caught the, caught the, caught the bug and I tested one out in one of my buildings and I fell in love with it. Actually traveled out to, to, to London for a, for a conference. And after I saw the technology that was coming along and the excitement that was in this community, I just, I just fell in love. And I've been growing my business ever since. I had a corporate position with a bank at the. There was a time where it made sense for me to kind of leave that position and, and I've been growing my company ever since.
