A short conversational transcript (YouTube video) where two speakers discuss the importance of mindset and being part of a supportive community when starting hosting. They argue that following processes, receiving guidance, and sharing with peers helps beginners persist and find solutions rather than give up.
How important is mindset about getting started? For anyone who's listening and thinking, do you know what? I might give hosting a go. How important is that?
I think it's really key. And actually, if you just keep doing the right things, following process of what to do next, and you have people guiding you, encouraging you, I think that really helps. So I do think it's very good to be in a community of people who know what they're doing and support you, because otherwise, you know, you might just give up and settle for less. And we don't want that for people.
It's having people who are on a similar journey and also, like you say, people who are excited to be in the community, people who can share. You can share problems with and, you know, find solutions together.
