A short conversational interview (two speakers) from a YouTube video by Mark Simpson discussing where to find help when solving problems. Speaker B recommends searching YouTube for tutorial videos as the primary resource (with trial-and-error), while Speaker A adds that mentors/coaches are valuable for interpreting which solutions fit a learner's unique situation.
What resources have helped you along the way? Is there any kind of people out there in the industry? Any books, any podcast, any mentors, all of that sort of thing? Is anybody that has helped you that you'd like to draw attention to for the people listening?
Whenever I had a problem, I would just search it on YouTube and then watch a couple of videos and see if I could figure out what the go was. So in general, I would just say YouTube is usually going to be your answer. It just might take a little while to get your answer with a bit of trial and error.
Yeah, YouTube is fantastic because pretty much whatever you need to do, there's a video on there, right? And some of those courses on there, actually you could. You know, it's knowing where to look sometimes. And this is the thing about the difference between the information available. But then it's also good to have like a mentor like you spoke about or coach earlier on, really interpret what the best thing to do is in our unique situations.
