Short YouTube video by Mark Simpson (uploaded March 16, 2023) warning Airbnb hosts about a major, ‘unavoidable’ risk: Airbnb can unilaterally cancel guest bookings (even after check-in) and refund guests without notifying the host first. The speaker frames this as the worst risk hosts face and teases advice on how to avoid it and obtain direct bookings.
This is the worst unavoidable Airbnb risk any host can face. As an Airbnb host, you know that Airbnb has the final say in your booking cancellations. If a guest complains, Airbnb may cancel their booking even after the check in date has passed and eventually return all the money back to the guest. The worst part is Airbnb doesn't even have to contact you first to discuss the cancellation. If you want to know how to avoid that and learn how to get direct bookings, hit the Follow button.
