These four books will change how you make money. My name is Mark Simpson and I work with hospitality owners all over the world. Get more direct bookings and decrease their over reliance on Airbnb. If you are a host who has got over five properties and are looking to break free from your over reliance on Airbnb, make sure you check the description where you can book a call with our sales team to see if you're going to be a good fit to work with us. Book number one is Talk Triggers by Jay Baer. Now this is a really important book for anybody who wants to grow their business through word of mouth marketing. And the reason why this book came on my radar is that a lot of the stories and a lot of the examples that Jay uses in this book is around hospitality. You can apply this philosophy of these books into any industry and the main takeaway for me with this is that it doesn't matter how good your product or your service or your offer is. If nobody knows about it, then nobody's going to be able to buy from you. And you can spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in marketing and ad spend, but at the end of the day, the best source of income for your business will be people talking about your business. The next book is Joey Coleman's Never Lose a Customer Again. As business owners, one of the biggest mistakes I see people make is that they always chase new money. They always looking for that new booking, that new customer, that that new stripe transaction. When the true growth and the true profit is looking after the customers that you currently have. This gives you the framework and again for Boostly, the onboarding process as this book goes to. Layout was broken in our business before reading this book. Since reading it, we implemented those little tweaks into the business and and we have found that our customer satisfaction levels have grown massively because of that first interaction. We actually start to get people leaving reviews on our business on trustpilot. At that stage people are actually going out and referring other hosts to Boostly because of that little tweak that we have made. We can't put a number on how much money saved us in potential refunds, but we can definitely put a number down on how many people refer our business or talk about us going back to Talk triggers because of these little tweaks that we've made because of this bull. Next up we have UN Marketing by Scott Stratton. I listened to the audio version first and then went and got the actual physical copy for this video. I had to pull over so many times while Driving to make notes because of the advice in this book is unreal. And again, it follows a similar vein of form with the other books that I've mentioned with Never Lose a Customer Again and Talk Triggers is that when you tap into your existing client base, when you tap into friends and peers, et cetera, even for people that don't like to do marketing per se, by reading books like this and by tapping into the advice it gives you, it just makes your business much more appealable and much more of a magnet than what it was if you were just going out there straight trying to sell or market your business. And the final book is Traction. Now you may be thinking, this is an operations book. How will this make me money? Well, from what I've learned and what I've seen so many people fail at in their business journeys, is that you can have the best sales and marketing out there, but if you haven't got the proper operations and procedures and SOPs in place, then your business will literally be built on sand. And Traction was one of those books that was recommended to me when I first got going and I ignored it. And, and it wasn't until I needed the help that I felt in the business. Cause it was, you know, overloaded with sales and marketing and new signups. But we didn't have the systems and structures in place. If you want your business to be around in 2026, 2027 and beyond, you need to get traction. And not only do you need to read it, you need to get your whole team to read it, especially your management team. My team now are fed up of me of talking about this book. So these are the four books that if you read them, they will change how you make money and most importantly, how you will also get more better clients and how your current clients will rave about you to other people. If you have liked this video, then please make sure you check this one because YouTube has recommended for you to watch it.
