This YouTube video (by Mark Simpson, uploaded July 16, 2023) explains a technique for monitoring guest activity in a rental property without invading privacy. The speaker describes a system that captures sound levels (not speech content), plus humidity and movement data, to give hosts a summary of occupancy and activity while avoiding recording conversations.
It's all about monitoring what's going on without being invasive on the guests because you don't want to break the guests privacy. And what minute does is it takes sound recordings without recording the actual things that are being spoken. It monitors the levels of noise and it does way more than that. So it monitors the humidity and the amount of movement within a space and basically gives you, as a host, a really good overall idea of how many people are in the property and how allowed and how much activity is going on in that property.
