Sam, It's. All right. Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, one and all, wherever you are tuning in from around the world. Now, believe me when I say this, you want to get your lucky numbers in very, very quickly from number one to number 10, because we are going to do Spin the Wheel to get started with. But before we do that, if you could do me a massive favor. If you're watching on your phone, scroll over and then tap one of those emoji buttons as many, many times as possible. There are a lot of people who are trying to find this live video right now on the social medias and in the Facebook group. But believe me when I say this, Instagram make it tricky for everybody to find it. So by doing that, it gets Instagram, it gets their Facebook going. So they'll know to come into this live video and then drop your numbers, number one to number ten. You can only vote. You can only give me your lucky number once and you need to do it within the next two minutes. And don't forget, just like last night, if you are the lucky number. So last night, I believe it was five. You then got to send me a message on Instagram saying, hey, Mark, my lucky number on Tuesday was whatever it was, I'll take all of your messages and just pick someone at random. And we have a winner from last night. The lucky winner was Ruta. I messaged Ruta today and she said, what did I win? I said, I will let you know this evening. So the lucky prize for the first one was a pair of guesty socks. That was the special prize. A pair of guesty socks. Rooter is coming your way. Thank you very much for Guesty for giving me these to give out. And I've got another special prize tonight and I'm going to let you know what it is tomorrow. But every single night, the prizes are going to get better and better and better. So you make sure that every night you're tuning in, make sure you're joining us at 8:30pm UK time, that's 2:30pm in Central Time in America, whatever that time is, is in Australia. Make sure you are live with us and you may be winning some cool prizes. So, Ruta, you've got some socks on the way. All right, let's kick on with it, shall we? Straight away, go straight in to spin the wheel. Let me share my screen. Let me move over to spin the wheel. All right, you have got 10 seconds left. You have got 10 seconds left to vote number one to number 10. And again, if you manage to Pick the lucky number. It doesn't mean that you're a winner. You need to head over to Instagram. The Instagram you should all know by now is@Boostly UK. Send me a DM and say, hey, Mark, I'm Tuesdays got the lucky number, whatever that number is. All right, I'm gonna give you a last final few seconds to get your name down. 3, 2, 1. And we're gonna spin this wheel, Foreign. Lucky number three. So I can definitely, I definitely did see a free 100 sorrow free. So if you were that lucky number three, you know what to do. Go over to Instagram @Boostly UK, send me a DM and just put, hey, Mark, Tuesday lucky number three. I got that one. And I'll just pick all the names and I'll pick someone at random. And tomorrow night, you will win a prize that's better than a pair of socks. I'm not saying the pair of socks ain't good, but it's just going to be better than it. All right, let's bring it back. All right, so first and foremost, it is so good to see so many of you do your homework today. Watch the video, which was, you know, a nice little nine minutes. Me and Paul wanted to sort of welcome you into it. And then most importantly, people coming in and doing the homework. Paul and the ambassadors have definitely looked at all the questions that have come in today and we've. Paul's identified three really common sticking points today for everybody. So we're going to cover that over the course of today. But what I want to ask you, everybody in the chat, and please leave this in the chat, is what was your main takeaway from today? Did you learn something new? For a lot of you, this is going to be brand new. You'll have never done this before. But for others, is this something like, there's been a nice refresher, have you Learned something new, etc. Please leave that in the. In that takeaway. Now, if you're watching this on YouTube or LinkedIn or other social medias and you're thinking, what video? What are you talking about, Mark? Then you got to make sure that you are over, not on Spin the Wheel, but in our Facebook group. Now, to get access to the Facebook group, you can still come and sign up, you can still put your name down. If you just go to boostly.co.uk Instagram special hyphen training, pop your name down, you'll get the special link on how you can join our group and we will let you in. And you can take pack. Don't worry, if you've missed today, you can join tomorrow. That's absolutely no problem. Today was a really nice, easy little introduction to, to what we're going to be doing tomorrow. Paul definitely kicks it up a knot. And while we're talking about Paul, can you all just do me again another massive favor? Open up your phone here, slide across and tap the love heart emoji button. Show Paul some love in the comments for today's training, because for a lot of you, this is just taking your Instagram knowledge game up a notch to a next level, which is so good. So let me bring him on, everybody. Here we are. Hope you're well, Paul. Hope you can hear me. Okay, so first and foremost, you were dealing with so many questions. You know, the ambassadors were dealing with so many questions. It was great to see it in the chat. We've got three things that you want to. Want to cover. But before we get on to those three things, is there anything you want to say to everybody in the chat, into the group, into the training? Oh, you are muted. Guest has muted himself. You need to unmute yourself, my friend.
Nope.
No. Okay, tight talking. Well, it's not having it. One second. Let me, let me bring you back right now. Try talking. We've lost him. No, Guest has muted themselves. He's gonna go out and he's gonna come back in. All right, so while, while he's doing that and while we will get him back, we will definitely get him back. But while he's doing that, basically, we've got three main things that we're going to cover. Okay. And those three main things are going to be, hopefully if he can come back in and he can tell us what they're going to be. All right, let me get him in. Let's see if he's back right now. Try it.
I'm back. Hello.
Is right.
Is that.
Is that good? You're good? We're good. We hear you. Right, off you go. I don't know what happened there.
No idea. Anyway, yeah, all I wanted to do really to start was to echo what you said, Mark. Amazingly engaged group. I counted 481 comments, which is massive. Some of them were myself and the ambassadors coming back. But for about 400 hosts completed the homework and it was exceptional. It was ace to see such a variety of business types, different locations across the entire world. So there were very much three concerns and questions that kept coming back. So the first one is that there was some nervousness about defining what one's ideal guest was what the avatar was, simply because it's an individual within a target market and people were very nervous of excluding other people. So when it comes to identifying and defining and understanding in a very granular level who your ideal guest is, that's in order that you attract them as well as people who are similar to them. So anyone who is involved in a marketing team or anyone who's doing any type of what's called inbound marketing, and it's organic inbound marketing. So organic, we're not paying for the advertising. Inbound is essentially we are trying to attract people like a magnet. Any marketing team worth its salt will want to know very precisely to whom they're addressing that content. And it's not to exclude anybody, but it is to focus and to attract the people that we want to have as our guests. When you have your ideal guest come through your door, if you've primed your content properly and everything is set up properly, you will have a very, very good idea as to what their expectations are. And if you don't know what their expectations are, that makes it very difficult to exceed the expectations. So we can exceed guest expectations. We will enjoy hosting them. We know that they will love staying with us and they will become our salesforce. They will be the people who are writing reviews after reviews, after reviews, telling their friends and spreading the word. So the more focused you can become with who your ideal guest is, in actual fact, the more likely your content and your marketing will convert and give you a return on your investment in time. So that was the first one. The second one was how to handle multiple property types or multiple property locations, or even multiple avatars for the same property. I know, I just said that everyone should have one. I actually have two guest avatars, one for my high season and one for my low season because Oxford City is very cyclical and very seasonal with the academic year. But I never speak to more than one at any given time. So there are two ways that you can approach this. Number one, you could set up one account for every business you have, or every property you have, or every location you have. I know from personal experience that managing 2, 3, 4, even 5 particular accounts can become more than a full time job. So I recently was working with a client and she has five properties that are all very different in multiple countries. What we did was we identified an avatar for each of those five properties and then we identified the common ground, everything that they shared. And what she now does is she will post content to Avatar 1 and then she'll post to her core Avatar 2, and then to her core Avatar 3, and to her core, and so on and so forth and round and round. That way she knows that every second post is always speaking to all of her avatars. And, and then if she's posting about Mexico, it's about Mexico. If it's about Oklahoma, it's about Oklahoma, that type of thing. And it works very, very well. So by breaking them out and then alternating between them, that I would suggest is the more straightforward alternative to having multiple accounts. And number three, it's not the first time I've heard of it, but some of the links within Facebook to the Instagram accounts have been glitching. It is a glitch within the Instagram Facebook interface. As such, the only solution I've identified is to log out of your account, close the app, restart your device, and then log back in. The important thing to point out is that anything you have saved in your draft, so if you have videos or reels saved in your draft or stories in your drafts or content ready to go, you will lose all of that. So do make sure that you save all of your saved content somewhere else before you log out and log back in. Yeah, those are the three things I.
Think when it, when it comes down to this and for a lot of people, when we talk about avatars, ideal guests and especially for those that have got multiple properties and this, this will definitely come up a lot during this week from the videos that we've got planned for everybody. But you know, if you're really struggling, just focus on one and get really like really fine tune on that one before you then try and duplicate for some somewhere else because the problem would be otherwise you try and spread yourself too thin. You're trying to bounce from here to there to there. Like Paul says, it's, it's tricky enough finding one, never mind trying to find three or four or five, but that's some really good little bit of tips. Now my advice for everybody would be if you're struggling with this, re watch the video. Like these videos that we have in this group this week are not going anywhere. They're going to stay here forever. So you can revisit this, but the most important thing is to make a dent into the homework. Just give a go. Just put some it down. Don't be, don't be scared. Don't, you know, don't be shy. Just put somewhat down, just like so many people have done already. And if you really are struggling, just look to see what Other people are doing, you know, we've got all of the Instagram accounts in the video, in the group. Go and follow a few people, go and get some inspiration. So don't worry about it. We're all learning together. This is why we do. This is why we come together as a group over a week. I mean, there's 183 people with us live tonight, which is great. We've got so many people who have done the homework, which is great. And there's going to be so many people watching back on the replay. So very, very good. Right, Paul, go on, go for it.
Yeah, one, one quick thing is to come back to what you were saying, and that's very much that done is better than perfect. My low season guest avatar actually passed away three years ago. He was based on a real person and clearly he is no longer an ideal guest. And so it can become a very organic thing. And your guest avatar will develop as your business develops, as you come to understand them better and you can finesse them as you move. But as Mark says, the most important thing is start to execute on it, start to make a dent in it.
So a really good question just came in saying, can you still do today's homework? Absolutely. But what you will notice, and this is what you will notice, which is really important. So in the, in the Facebook group, which we have here, you'll notice that I start to close off comments on old posts. Now, the reason why I do that is that when we post a new video, we don't have other old posts going to the top of the group because like with Facebook groups, if there's any activity on a, on a old post, Facebook likes to bump it to the top. So to keep this group clean, to keep this group understandable and to keep the group manageable, what I do is I will close off the comments on previous posts. So that means that the fresh video and the fresh training will always sit at the top. So you are more than welcome to go and do the homework. And you can maybe try and tackle the homework tomorrow to combine Wednesdays with Tuesdays which could be easily doable, but you won't be able to comment on the video. But you know, grab a paper and pen, use your notes, Google Doc, whatever it may be, you can still do it, but it's going to be bringing it, you know, you can do it in your own world. This is why it's really important to try your very best to keep up with us this week. Set aside 10 minutes to watch the video, set aside 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes to do the actual work and set aside 30 minutes every night to come to us at the debrief. That's all we're asking for. I'm not asking for hours and hours and hours every day because I know that's not viable and doable with business and life and families and, you know, social arrangements and all those things. We're just asking for 10, 15, 20, 30 minutes here and there. So if you can do that, you'll get the most out of this week. Talking about tomorrow, what little gems can you drop? What can we be expecting? Give us a little sneak peek of what we can be talking about tomorrow, Paul.
So today was, was more of a theoretical overview and build some sense of foundation. Tomorrow we can look forward to actually getting stuck in with Instagram itself and start, believe it or not, implementing today's homework for the future. There's always homework. I just, I will get more and more excited as this week goes and I'm giddy about tomorrow already.
Good, good, good, good. All right, everybody, so well done today. If you are catching up, go ahead and get, get caught up. If you are watching this live, thank you very much. And if you're watching this on the replay, do leave us a little hashtag replay. So I know who our replay peoples are. If you have got that lucky number on spin the wheel, make sure you jump over to Instagram and make sure that you send me a little dm. And here's something that I would like for everybody to do tonight. We're going to do a little bit of a practice. So what I would love for you to do, just like Paul's just done, take picture of the screen right now in front of you. And then what I want for you to do is head over to Instagram and let's see who's got some Instagram skills. You're going to upload it either as a post or as a story. And make sure you tag in the social media hotelier. You should all know Paul's Instagram account by now and you should tag in@boostly UK, which is obviously the boostly one. Tag us in, we'll see it, we'll share it, we'll give it some love. Let's start to document your journey, document your week, document your training, document what we're doing with everybody. And yeah, go ahead and do that over the course of the next 24 hours and, and we'll have a little look at them. Well, well done, everybody. Today I've seen so, so many come through and we're looking forward to tomorrow where we do take it up a notch. With that being said, if you do have any questions, you know what you need to do. Hashtag help. Please make sure you do that because we then get a keyword notification to say somebody needs help in the group. Leave it in the post and we'll be back tomorrow. 8:30 as always, UK time live in the evening PM the video the next video will be scheduled to go up in the group at 7am with all that being said, thank you very, very, very much. Have a good evening and we'll speak to you tomorrow. This is a freestyle going off the dumb.
