Short YouTube monologue (Mark Simpson) advising Airbnb hosts to prioritize networking with fellow hosts as well as guest relationships. The speaker describes how collaborating with hosts in the same complex creates mutual supportāhosts look after each otherās guestsāand how openly sharing knowledge encourages reciprocal sharing and strengthens the host community.
And I thought, you know what? This is actually not working. So my. My chapter talks about networking and reaching out to fellow hosts rather than just concentrating on getting the guest. The guests obviously come to you, and it's important, and it's important to retain them and build that relationship. But it's also important to have a relationship with the hosts and people in your own complex, particularly because we do look out for each other, and we do look after each other's guests if the one person isn't there. So it becomes a real collection of minds that think the same way. And also from that, I learned to share my knowledge and not hold it back, because the more I shared, the more they shared.
