Short YouTube interview segment ("What is your SURPRISING Fact?") in which Speaker A recounts being struck by a car at age 16, suffering severe injuries to the right side of their body, undergoing surgeries, using a wheelchair, relearning to walk, and subsequently adopting a mindset unafraid of failure that helped motivate continued efforts (e.g., starting/continuing 'Mount').
What is one fact about yourself that people would find surprising or not? Many people may already know.
One of the other reasons why Mount was started, or just I had the drive to continue it when I was young was because I was actually hit by a car when I was 16, but as a pedestrian, got crushed the whole right side of my body. I was in the hospital. I had a few surgeries, was in a wheelchair for a while, had to relearn to walk. So I think when you go through something like that, you know, that was like rock bottom, essentially, where I had to kind of rethink what I wanted to do with life. And after that, I wasn't afraid to fail. I was like, what could be worse than relearning how to do everything, essentially?
