Short excerpt from a YouTube video ("What you didn’t know about DIY Identity Verification" by Mark Simpson, May 28, 2023) where the speaker recommends using a hands-off identity-verification toolkit that includes biometric checks. The speaker argues such a toolkit saves time and money, scales with the user, performs "real" email/address checks, and provides stronger security than DIY approaches.
But do you really want to be doing that? Would you not rather use a toolkit that's actually, you know, it's hands off. You don't have to do it. It's actually got biometrics in place. So, like our ID and that, like, our email address checks are like real checks. So it's going to save that person time and potentially money and help them scale a bit more. If they want to scale and boost and add to their portfolio, you know, it's going to take something away from them. So. Yeah. So what they're doing, I don't think is enough to secure, at the end of the day, something bad happening at the other end of it. So why not use something like ours, us, that's not expensive and is actually going to do real checks. That makes sense.
