He lists required components (website, PMS, booking engine, payment gateway, guest communications, SEO, email marketing, trust signals), emphasizes repeat guests and consistency, and offers a free playbook via comment.

Most Airbnb hosts will never reach that 65% direct bookings because they rely completely on the platforms and they never build their own system. We've helped thousands of hosts bring in 1 billion worth of dollars of bookings over the last 10 years. So we know exactly what you need to do to build out your direct booking system. It's not that direct bookings doesn't work. It's that most hosts do not know how to run the pieces they need to make it work. Listen, the platforms, we make it easy. We know that the exposure they give you, the automatic payments that they take, they do all of your reviews, they can do all of your messaging and take care of your calendars. Direct booking requires taking ownership on all of that. So quite simply, you need a website, you need a pms, you need a booking engine, you need a payment gateway, you need to do your guest comms, you will need to do SEO, you will need to do email marketing, you will need to build your own trust signals. And for a lot of people, especially those that are already juggling turnovers, cleaning guest messaging, this will feel like a second job. And listen, I get it. Guests also tend to trust the big platforms. Airbnb and booking.com have spent millions building that very strong brand. But this can be done. This is why hosts who rely only on first time travelers rarely reach high booking percentage. Direct bookings do grow fast when hosts build repeat guest pipelines. The ones that collect emails, send emails, stay present on social media. The ones that list on their Google business listing, the ones that just get better 1% every day, they're the ones that scale. Listen, I'm speaking to people that have got multiple properties and they can earn up to 30 or 40%, sometimes 65% direct, because they have volume and repeat stays. If you're a solo host, you do need to have more deliberate systems in place. We have a client who is in Cornwall and he had no marketing at all. He was literally waiting for Airbnb to bring him guests. But he set up his system. You know, he had a site, he started to get emails, and then slowly but surely, he noticed that his direct booking started to grow month over month. It's not magic, right? It's consistency that is built within a system. And when a host builds that system, even small property portfolios, you keep that revenue and you build a business that is built on your land. Now, if you want the totally free playbook on how you can start your journey, comment rocket below and I'll send it to you in a message.
