Short excerpt from a YouTube video (by Mark Simpson) where two speakers argue for collaboration over competition. Speaker A recounts an anecdote about competitors in Munich who live/work near each other and help by sharing simpler solutions—resolving a three-month problem quickly; Speaker B states a general preference for collaboration over competition.
Because the market is so big and there's enough for everyone, so you can grow together. I work with my competitors in Munich as well. We have our houses next to each other, but we help each other because everybody do it in a little different way. I remember I was talking with some of my competitors, and I told him, oh, I do this, and it's so complicated and it needs so much time. Then he said, do it like this. And I was like, oh, my God. Since three months, I tried to find a solution. It's so easy.
But first of all, talking about working with competitors is, you know, this is something which I always say, which is I'd rather have collaboration over competition.
