YouTube clip by Mark Simpson arguing that WordPress is preferable to Wix for building websites. He claims Google prefers WordPress sites and cites (imprecisely) that roughly 70–80% of the world’s websites use WordPress; he explains Wix’s popularity as being driven by ease-of-use despite his recommendation to choose WordPress for serious sites.
WordPress is an open source platform, so what that means is that Google prefers it. Google prefers WordPress websites. I think there's a stat, I'm going to misquote this, but it's between 70 to 80% of all of the world's websites are built on WordPress. So success leaves clues. But again, the problem for so many people, so many hosts, when they come to get their own direct booking website, they go to Wix because they look at WordPress and they just go, what am I doing? What am I looking at? So this is why WIX is popular. But if you're looking between the two and if you really want to do something with this, this is why you've got to choose a WordPress website.
