148: The power of frequency: how vibration shapes our lives
15 Aug 2024 · 25 min
In this solo episode of the Cani Crystals podcast, host Mart Tweedy recounts how a Facebook post about microwaves sparked a deep dive into electromagnetic frequencies and their alleged effects on health, emotions, and reality. He explains the basics of frequency—how all matter vibrates—and links cellular health to vibrational harmony, arguing that negative emotions and environmental toxins can lower our body’s frequency, leading to illness. Tweedy introduces several named frequencies (963 Hz “God frequency,” 888 Hz “abundance frequency,” 528 Hz “miracle tone,” and the Earth’s 7.83 Hz Schumann resonance), describing their purported spiritual and physiological benefits, from DNA repair to heightened spiritual connection. He critiques commercial devices like the Heal Flux, suggesting free smartphone apps or YouTube tracks can provide the same effects. Practical advice includes using frequency‑generator apps, gratitude lists, affirmations, visualization, meditation, and exposure to healing sounds (e.g., Tibetan or crystal singing bowls) to raise one’s personal vibration and manifest desired outcomes such as health, wealth, and love. The episode concludes with a promotion for the upcoming Manifest Festival in Newcastle (June 16 2025), detailing the lineup, ticket pricing, and a discount code for listeners.

Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of Cani Crystals the podcast. I hope that everyone is well. My name is Mart Tweedy, I am your host, and this week I saw a very weird post on Facebook that kind of led me down a trail of research and ultimately to recording this podcast episode. So with everything going on the last few weeks, especially in the world, like, I don't tend to do Facebook. I don't do it very often anyway, but logging on just to see, you know, racist comments, rioting, it's just not my bag. I'm not about that life. I'm not wanting to, you know, lower my energy or anything like that by getting involved or putting my two cents in, so I just kept well out of it. But I was on one day last week anyway, and some tinfoil hat conspiracy theory nut on my feed had posted a picture of the inside of a microwave. Stick with me here. Now, this might be hard to describe, but you know the inside bit of a microwave if you take the glass plate out of the bottom? That turntable metal bit? You know what I'm on about? That thing in the middle? It looks like a radioactive symbol, okay? And this post was saying, you know, it's a warning to not cook any food inside of a microwave because it can give you cancer., and I just immediately thought, well, you know, what doesn't give you cancer these days? And I just continued to scroll on. But for some reason, I couldn't shake this thought. I actually went to sleep thinking about it, and I woke up the next day thinking about it as well, right? So my stepdad has had cancer now for around about 10 years, okay? He's got a stoma bag, he's living with it, he goes for radiotherapy and things like that. And as long as I've known him, which is probably around 30 years now, he has lived on microwave meals. You know, the ones that you buy from the supermarket, you whack in the microwave, ding, they're ready. So I think subconsciously, I was just thinking, you know, is there a link here? Do microwaves really cause cancer? Don't worry, this isn't what today's episode is gonna be about. This is just me introing it. But me being me, I started doing a bit of research and it led me down the path of frequencies. So to put into simple terms, microwaves are just a form of electromagnetic radiation. That's just how they heat the food. So some of you might have heard me talking about EMFs, or electromagnetic frequencies, before. Now Francesca Amber, for example, she has a shungite phone case, shungite by her Wi-Fi router, which she turns off at night as well, and she also sleeps with her phone outside of the bedroom, which I always thought was weird, just so that the EMFs don't interfere with her sleeping quality. I mean, I'm just gonna let her do her thing. Who am I to judge? I don't know the ins and outs. I've always been aware of EMF since learning about crystals and, you know, certain crystals such as shungite or black obsidian or black tourmaline because they can deflect these frequencies. And to be honest, I've always just thought Fran was a bit of a tinfoil hat nut as well. But after reading research papers about it all, I'm actually quite shocked at what I discovered. So microwave frequencies are higher than radio waves but they are lower than infrared light. I hope I've got the right way around. So whilst microwaves are widely used in various technologies, you know, including microwave ovens, there is some concern about their potential health risks, particularly that possibility of causing cancer. So the primary concern with microwave radiation is that at high levels of exposure, it can cause thermal effects in the body, you know, meaning that it can heat biological tissues within us. And that heating effect is the same principle used in microwave ovens cook food. However, when it comes to human tissues, prolonged or intense exposure to microwaves can lead to cellular damage, and the fear is that this damage might increase the risk of cancer, particularly if the radiation leads to mutations in DNA or disrupts normal cellular processes. Honestly, I feel like I need to chuck my microwave out the window after hearing all this, honestly. So whilst the consensus amongst most scientists is that the level of microwave radiation emitted by, you know, household devices are too low to cause cancer, there is still some debate and ongoing research in that area. So high levels of microwave exposure, such as those that might occur in, you know, industrial settings or from malfunctioning equipment, they could theoretically pose a higher risk. And it's these higher exposures that could potentially cause enough cellular damage over time to increase the likelihood of cancer. So there I am, Tuesday morning, like a madman, telling all me friends and family, you know, stop using your microwaves because you're gonna get cancer. And I open my Facebook up and I see an advert for this little piece of kit called a Heal Flux. Heal Flux? Is it called a Heal Flux? I'm sure it is. Anyway, have a look if you're interested. It was claiming that microwaves are evil, we shouldn't be using them, and that they had a frequency reader that when they approached a microwave that had just been used, the frequencies were off the scale on the reader. So my phone had definitely obviously been listening to me talking about bloody microwaves that it was now even advertising lots of things about them everywhere I looked. So I had a look at this product, right, and it was basically a device about the same size as a regular mobile phone, and all it did was emit frequencies that can affect us in a positive way instead of that negative way like microwaves do. And I won't lie, I was almost condoned to buying one. So I had a look, right? And the £98, for example, £98 fucking pound, and all it does is emit a frequency that you input. Now you can get frequency videos off YouTube, you know, of Insight Timer, that kind of thing. You can get them off Google if you really, really wanted to. And I was just thinking, you know, this is amazing that I can have this frequency playing all day long whilst I work over the top of me subliminals. But then I read the reviews and someone had like, you know, confirmed everything that I was thinking and said, why pay £98 when you can get a free app on your phone that does the exact same thing? And I was like, OMG, what? And it's true, you can get an app on an iPhone. Not sure if it's available on Android, but I'm assuming it would be. You just type in frequency generator into your App Store and download. Then you just move the frequency to whatever frequency you want it to play and it plays. Why have I never thought of this before? So when I went to bed that night, for example, I had it set to 963 Hz because that's what is known as the God frequency, and that helps us to activate the pineal gland, and it allows us to manifest whatever we want. It's like magic. I absolutely love it. It's like magic fairy dust. Okay, so I know I've briefly touched on frequencies in the past on podcast episodes, and you know how they were previously played in hospitals to help patients heal everything like that, but we've never really gone into detail about them. So I want you to imagine the entire universe as one giant symphony, you know, all these like instruments all playing at the same time, where everything, you know, every thought, every emotion, every object is playing its own unique note in this symphony. Okay, so these notes are frequencies, they are vibrations that flow through every part of existence. So whether we're aware of it or not, These frequencies influence us on every single level, whether it be physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually. Now, this might sound a bit mystical, but by the end of this episode, you'll see how, you know, frequencies affect us on a cellular level and how they ultimately shape our reality. So I'm going to talk about how you can tap into these vibrations to manifest your desires and live a life full of health, happiness, and abundance, because all of these concepts are rooted in both ancient wisdom and modern science. And most importantly, I want you to learn practical ways to raise your own frequency and to start seeing positive changes in your life. So we're going to start with the basics, you know, what are frequencies? So a frequency is simply the rate at which something vibrates. That's it in a nutshell. Every single thing in the universe, as we know, is made up of energy. So this energy is always moving, it's always vibrating. If you looked at something under a microscope, you would see it's made up of tiny little particles that are buzzing around at a different rate. Okay, so every single thing in the world that seems solid, like a crystal or this table that I'm sat at right now, they are actually made up of tiny particles that are constantly in motion. And these vibrations can be fast or slow, they can be high or low, and the speed of these vibrations is what we call frequency. So every single object in this universe has its own individual frequency. Frequency. For example, if we take light, light has a frequency, and that's why we see different colors, because every single color is light vibrating at a different frequency. Now, sound also has a frequency, which is why we hear different pitches. It's why my voice can go really high or why my voice can go really low. Yeah, that's a crappy little experiment that I just did, but hey ho, we roll with it. The concept of frequency applies to every single thing in the universe, including our bodies and, you know, our thoughts and our emotions. So I'm going to get all science-y with you now because I really think that this will help you to understand frequency and how we can use it. So our bodies are made up of trillions of cells, not millions, not billions, trillions, okay? And each of these cells is vibrating at its own frequency as well. Now this is important to understand because the frequency at which our cells vibrate, that affects how well they function. So when our cells are vibrating at a healthy frequency, they perform their tasks efficiently, like repairing damage, fighting off illness, and keeping our bodies in balance. But if one little thing disrupts these frequencies, you know, like say we introduce stress or negative emotions or environmental toxins, our cells can't function as well, and that can lead to health problems. So I want you to think of your body as a musical instrument in that symphony. So if it's in tune, it's going to play beautiful music and you'll feel great. But if it goes slightly just out of tune, the music is going to sound off. You might feel tired or sick or just out of sort. And by understanding how to keep our frequencies high and in harmony, we can then help our bodies stay healthy and strong. So there is a clear connection between frequency and emotion. So if we think about this— how can I put this? So emotions are energy in motion, okay? That's just what it is. E-motion, energy in motion. And like every single other thing in the world, they have their own frequencies as well. So positive emotions like love, joy, gratitude, they vibrate at high frequencies, whilst negative emotions like fear, anger, sadness, they all vibrate at lower frequencies. And these emotional frequencies can influence the overall frequency of our body. So when we're filled with positive emotions, our overall frequency rises, you know, and our cells ultimately vibrate at healthier levels. This not only makes us feel good emotionally, but it also supports our physical health. Now, on the other hand, when we're stuck in negative emotions, our frequency tends to drop, and over time that can lead to physical symptoms like fatigue or headaches or burnout or even more serious health concerns. So the good news is that we can change our emotional frequency. We can change it at any time. So by practicing positive thinking, gratitude, and other uplifting habits, we can raise our frequency. We can improve our overall well-being. And you know, we've spoke about this on the pod so many times. You know, we have done gratitude lists, we have done journaling, we have done meditation, we have created ourselves our own little playlist on Spotify that will help to raise our frequency. We know all of this. This is where the idea of manifestation comes in, because when we align our thoughts and our emotions with the frequency of what we want to attract, we can draw these things into our lives. So there is one in particular that I love to use, which I mentioned earlier. It's called the God frequency, and as I mentioned before, it is 963 Hz. Okay, so if you download the app, you can set your, um, frequency to 963 If you want to, you can even go on YouTube and just type in 963 Hz for hertz, okay? So 963 Hz. Or you can just type in the God frequency. There are hundreds, thousands, millions of videos out there, okay? But it's a term that is often used to describe a specific high vibration that connects us to a higher power. So whether you call it God, the universe, or something else, that frequency is associated with feelings of pure love pure peace, and, you know, a kind of a connectedness and oneness with every single thing that exists. So when you're in tune with that frequency, you're gonna feel deeply connected to something greater than yourself. You're going to experience a sense of inner calm and spiritual fulfillment. But what does it mean to be in tune with that God frequency? So imagine a radio station broadcasting this music, but your radio is slightly off the station, so if you're like me, you know, and you had one of them old style, uh, radios where you had the knob that you had to really tune in, all you will hear is a bit of static, okay, like white noise. But when you adjust the dial and perfectly tune into that station, the music comes through loud and clear. So tuning into the God frequency is like adjusting your inner dial to pick up on those vibrations of divine love and wisdom. So this concept isn't just spiritual, you know, it also has a scientific basis. So when I was doing some research on this, I didn't know this, but the Earth's natural frequency is around 7.83 Hz, so that means that there's always a very low buzzing noise being emitted from the Earth that our bodies have just become accustomed to hearing. You know, it's what babies hear when they're first brought into the world because they hear it for the first ever time. It's just a very low humming noise. And interestingly, that frequency is very close to the alpha waves in our brain, which are associated with deep relaxation, meditation, creativity. So when we meditate or we pray We often enter a state where our brainwaves slow down to this alpha frequency, and that can help us to connect with the God frequency. So by practicing meditation or mindfulness or simply just spending time in nature, we are aligning our frequencies with this divine resonance. And when we do that, we often experience a greater sense of peace and clarity and connection to the world around us. And it's that alignment that also has physical benefits. Like reducing stress, promotion of healing, and, you know, our cells will resonate with that higher frequency as well. Now, one of the things that I get asked about the most is, how do I attract, you know, wealth, prosperity, abundance, that kind of thing? I'm here to tell you that there is also an abundance frequency. So just as there is a frequency for divine connection, there's also a frequency for abundance. It's a vibration that attracts wealth, success, and prosperity. So the abundance frequency is, get this, 888 Hz. 8 being the number of abundance, you know, and it's all about feeling aligned with the energy of having plenty, basically. So when you're in tune with that frequency, you naturally attract opportunities, resources, and positive experiences into your life. But how do you get in tune with that frequency? It starts with your mindset. So if you're constantly focused on what you don't have, you're going to be vibrating at a frequency of lack. That's only going to attract more lack. But when you shift your focus to what you do have and you cultivate that sense of gratitude and abundance, you then raise your frequency to match the vibration of abundance. So one practical way to do this is through affirmations, you know, positive statements that help you reprogram your subconscious mind. For example, you could say, "I am worthy of wealth and success." or "I attract abundance in all areas of my life," because saying those can really help you align your thoughts with the frequency of abundance. Visualization is another powerful tool, and we talk about this all the time on the pod as well. By vividly imagining yourself living in that abundance, you know, seeing, hearing, and feeling what it's physically like, you start to resonate with that reality, and that helps you to attract it into your life. So gratitude also plays a crucial role here. So when you regularly express gratitude for what you already have, you're then telling the universe that you recognize and appreciate abundance, and that raises your frequency and it attracts even more good things your way. So this doesn't just affect your mindset, it also has a positive impact on your body. So gratitude has been shown to improve your immune function, it's been shown to lower blood pressure, and ultimately increase overall happiness. And that is proof that raising your frequency can lead to these tangible benefits. So the impact of frequency on our health goes even deeper because certain frequencies can really promote healing and, you know, rejuvenation at a cellular level. For example, the frequency of 528 Hz, or 528 Hz, it's often called the miracle tone because of its ability to repair your DNA. And that might sound crazy, but it also enhances your cellular function, it promotes overall health, and listening to music or sounds that are tuned to that frequency, they can help your body to heal and regenerate. I feel like fucking Wolverine, honestly. This concept isn't new. Ancient cultures have long understood the healing powers of sound and frequency. So if we think about Tibetan singing bowls, we've all heard of those, but they've been used for centuries to create healing vibrations that balance the body's energy centers or chakras. So today modern science is just beginning to catch up with studies that are showing, you know, specific frequencies can indeed have this therapeutic effect on the body. So it's like all Tibetan singing bowls, all crystal singing bowls, they are all tuned to a very specific frequency. This isn't new, it's not new science. This has been around for hundreds and thousands of years. So maintaining a high frequency is essential for that good health. So you can do this by surrounding yourself with just positive energy. So whether it be uplifting music, or, you know, a healthy diet full of fresh fruits and vegetables, or even just spending time grounding yourself in nature, even simple acts like laughing or dancing or spending time with your loved ones, that's all going to raise your frequency. It's going to help your cells to vibrate at their optimal levels. So one of the most exciting aspects of frequency is that we have the power to change it. It is all down to you, ladies and gentlemen. Okay, this means that we can intentionally shape our reality by choosing to vibrate at the frequencies that align with what we want to experience. Okay, we choose to vibrate at the frequency that aligns us with what we want. Get that into your head. So this is the essence of manifestation, you know, using that power of your thoughts, your emotions, and your actions to attract the life that you desire. So to do this, it's really important to just be mindful of the energy that you're putting out into the world. Like, are your thoughts aligned with that abundance, love, and joy that you want? Or are they focused on fear, lack, and worry? Just ask yourself that question. Are my thoughts aligned with abundance, love, and joy? Or instead, are they focused on that fear, lack, and worry? By consistently choosing those higher frequency thoughts and emotions, you can then shift your vibration. You can start attracting all these positive experiences into your life. Now, visualization, like I say, it is such a powerful tool for this because when you vividly imagine your goals and your dreams as if they're already happening to you right now, you will then start to vibrate at the frequency of that reality. So this then sends out a signal to the universe and it draws in people or opportunities and resources that then match your vibration. It's like becoming a magnet for the life that you want to live. Another key practice is just to set yourself some clear intentions, because when you set that intention, you're directing your energy towards a specific goal or desire, and that helps focus your frequency and align it with your desired outcome. And the more clear and focused that your intention is, the stronger the frequency that you emit, and the more powerfully you can manifest your desires. So understanding and harnessing the power of frequency can really transform every single aspect of your life. When we raise our frequency, we can improve our health, we can attract abundance, we can deepen our spiritual connection, we can manifest whatever the hell we want in our lives. But this isn't something that happens overnight, okay? It is a practice. It's a journey of continually, you know, tuning yourself into these higher vibrations. So this week, I want you to download a free frequency generator app. You know, get onto Google type something like frequency for X, Y, and Z, and set your app to that frequency and see if this helps you to manifest what you want in your life. So whether it be peace, happiness, wealth, success, luck, or anything else that you can think of, just go on to Google, type in frequency for peace, frequency for happiness, frequency for wealth, frequency for success, whatever it is that you want to manifest. Note that number down go back into your frequency generator app, set it at that number, and pop yourself in some headphones. Either go to sleep with it in your ears, or go out for a dog walk, or do the cleaning, or do your housework, just as you would listening to a subliminal. Because honestly, it is going to change all the cells within your body to align you with that frequency. Okay, so if you don't want to download the app— I know some people are against downloading apps— like I say, you can also go onto YouTube. You could type in healing frequency for money, healing frequency for peace, healing frequency for abundance or success or luck or love. Whatever it is, there is a frequency for everything, okay? The moral of the story is just to get listening to frequencies. It doesn't matter whether you do it through the app, through a generator, through the Heal Flux, through YouTube, through Google, however you want to listen, okay? Just give it a shot. Let me know how you get on. I would love to hear about your frequency journey, okay? And just before we go with today's episode, if you've missed the last few episodes or you're just playing catch-up now, I just want to let you know that I am launching a brand new festival right here in Newcastle upon Tyne on June 16th, 2025, called Manifest.
