What are the 5 external factors that I can't control that directly affect my business? A big one is like economic factors, debt-to-equity ratios, inflation, interest rates, housing prices. The easiest way to do it is pay the money to get a live feed for the Consumer Confidence Index and then break that down by demographic. Okay. Political and regulatory forces, right, are another big one. For example, like after Trump won in 2020, the midterms were in '22 and it was clear that red was going to fucking wipe the floor with the Dems. Right. And so I changed all the marketing to red states only. Social and cultural Cultural forces as well. What's happening here? Like probably not a good idea to market in Minnesota. You're just probably wasting money. Technology forces, AI algorithms, automation. As these things change, because there's some moats, it's a ring around your business that people can't replicate it. Otherwise, you're a commodity. Marketing competitive forces. Understanding your competition, doing like a Venn diagram of how you line up and how they line up is a very interesting way to understand and get the correct market positioning. I have all of their key phrases mapped. You can have a look and then you can say like these people do this and I do this. These are external factors that we can't control, so we should take them into consideration. Consideration, and it means that we stop making juvenile and knee-jerk reactions to inevitable outcomes.
