If I get a partner objection or do I transition from a money objection to a partner objection? Because a partner objection is just a money objection. They don't want to spend the money without the partner's approval. Right.
So like you just want to make.
Sure that like you have those pathways covered and you've thought about it and you know what you're going to say and writing it down is super helpful. Just finished all of my morning coaching sessions.
We have.
I have this big client that has like, I don't know, they have this big organization with a couple thousand, couple thousand people in it and I'm having to restructure their sales system and all the people that work for them. And I've fired like. Well, I hadn't fired because I'm a consultant but I had to advise to let go like a lot of them. And so today I had the meeting with all like the upper level management and I got hammered with questions for like an hour and a half as to why I made the decisions that I made because they didn't agree with some of them. So I had to feel that that was interesting. I think I handled it quite well. That was pretty fun. Because one of the things that we do that I don't think people know about it because we don't actually advertise is like the high level consulting stuff. So we come in to a business and then we like restructure their entire sales system. Their sales staff put new stuff in and then from there we just make it more efficient, put in better cash collection methodologies and shit like that. This is my dog Wolfie, by the way.
He's fully grown, you wouldn't think it.
He's had a tiny mum, hey buddy. And he's obsessed with me. He's my shadow because I work from home. He's just followed me around since he was a puppy. He's always in my office and stuff like that. Chewed my belt today, didn't you buddy?
I've been getting up at 4am every.
Day at the moment because one of our main clients, Jeremy, is doing our big sales push and I'm their head of sales. So because it's us time zones and because I'm in Perth having to start work at like 4am every single day, which is why I'm now sick because I've also got calls at like 11pm so I'm doing work from like 4 till 4am till about 1pm and then I take a break from like 1pm to 7 where I've got to put the kids down and all that kind of stuff. And then.
Are you right, buddy?
You going crazy? And then I've got to then work from like 7 to 11 because I've got to be open for like Eastern standard time. And anyway, it's a bit of a nightmare at the moment, but it means that like, my goal over the next 10 days or two weeks is to do half a million for that client, which equals to like $125,000 in commission. So that's my goal at the moment, is to establish myself as the greatest coaching and consultant salesperson on the planet. So I'm willing to avoid some sleep for a little while.
So, yeah, that's what's going on then.
So I got those meetings. I've got six sales calls line up for tonight, I think from like 7pm all the way through to 11pm so they're all stacked back to back. So that'll be fun. I'm like, I'm 15 from 17, I think sales calls from my last. Yeah, 15 sales from my last 17 sales calls for that particular client. So hopefully if I can continue at that rate, it'll be a good night. And then I'll just have to do some admin meetings over the next couple of hours and then I've got to shoot my video editor's going on sabbatical for a month to edit a movie. So I've got to like. Which is why this camera's here, so I can get a shitload of content in the next two days so he can edit it all together.
But yeah, that's the plan for now. As you can see, I work from.
Home, so the kids are at school and my wife's out doing whatever my wife does during the day. And it's just me and Wolfie at home. Isn't that right, buddy? Isn't there a video guy following you around all the time? No, he's just doing. We're just doing some. I was just explaining why I like cards. There's a couple reasons.
First of all is that I'm like super tactile. So, like, I have very busy hands.
And like, I'm super fidgety. I find it very difficult to sit still, which is super ironic because my job in the military was a sniper and like, I literally had to sit still for like 8, 10 hours at a time.
But what I would do is I.
Would actually flex my hamstrings pretty much non stop, which sounds super weird, like I'm a creep. But it just like allowed me to do something because Like, I would have to. I'd have to piss my pants and all kinds of stuff. Like, you just got to sit there and take it if you're, like, on target and you can't move. Because I didn't want to die.
So, yeah, so, like, when I started selling, like, I used to walk around a lot. So I would walk around and have my headset in, and then, like, as Covid has come in, like, you can't.
Do that anymore because everyone's zoom selling.
I was like, well, like, I don't really need to get really good at this, but I can get, you know, have a little entertaining thing. So what I can do is I can be on a phone call, and I can do things underneath the desk, you know, just to kind of keep my hands busy. And that does a couple things for me. And I think it's a technique that a lot of people should have, which is called a quiet mind strategy. And so for me, like, I have a very loud internal monologue, which is.
Probably some of my narcissistic tendencies coming out.
But when I am on a sales call, like, I. And when I'm talking to someone in general, I generally don't want to have that because this is kind of weird and probably an overshare. Like, I feel everything. Like, I'm hyper tactile. So, like, the clothes that I wear, and it's like an actual thing, like, I'm hyper tactile. I feel everything. I can feel every single part of my shirt touching every part of my body. So it makes me, like, somewhat uncomfortable most of the time. Like, I have to sit, and I have so many injuries from the army that I can just feel everything always. And, I mean, I'm in pain, like, a fair bit of the time.
Like, right now, my back hurts, my ankles hurt, my knee hurts, my neck hurts. Right. But, like, it is what it is.
So I need something to kind of quiet myself down. The reason why I do it is one, because it's, like, a little bit of fun. You can have a bit of a hobby. It's something interesting to do, which is, like, you know, as business owners and as salespeople, like, you can just get so caught up in, like, you know, every time you're not on the phone, you're not making money. So it's kind of fun. Fun to have something little like that that you can kind of collect in a bit of a hobby. And then also, like, it just allows me to kind of sink into. Sink into the core really effectively so that I don't distract myself. And I can actually listen to what's being said. I had a meeting with, like, Ryan.
Serhant, who most of you guys know if you're watching this on YouTube, and.
He trains, like every day. And I was like, man, if that dude did $4 billion in real estate and has 70 employees, like, you know, brings in $100 million a year in commissions and he works out every day.
I'm a piece of shit.
I was like. Because I just kept telling myself I didn't have the time. If he's getting after it like that and he's crushing all of his business goals, personal goals, fitness goals, and he's way busier than I am. Then, like, I got really no excuse. So I just reached out to a friend of mine who's a really good trainer, James, and I was like, okay, dude, I think I need to pay you some money because, like, when you.
Pay, you pay attention, right?
So made the obligation. And since then I've been training like at least three times a week, but a lot of the time 4. I didn't want to set a goal that was like, too hefty and just start training five, six days a week when I hadn't trained at all for two years. So set that goal. You know, do the old Jordan Peterson, just make your bed. And then, yeah, from there I've just been getting better and better, working with my goals and kind of moving towards it. But that's why I'm having the shredding douchebag from my favorite cafe, which is just a quick walk up the road.
Just wanted to give everyone, like a little snippet of like, what the day actually looks like, you know. And so essentially, like, I've got about nine, 10 hours of work today, but it's split up between 7am and 11pm it's not usually how I like to do it. I usually work between 8 and 4. But we're doing a big sales push. I just kind of have to split everything up. But, you know, so generally speaking, what we do is I hop on in the mornings, and in the mornings I'm pretty much back to back, usually from like 7 till 11 on coaching calls. So I have one on one coaching calls with staff, one on one coaching calls with clients. And then I do all the team trainings that I do. So I train a couple of marketing companies, I train a couple of fitness companies, I train just a whole bunch of like, sales teams. And then I have my own sales training for my teams. Plus I have role plays that I'll go over as well. And so we do that.
That takes up the morning.
Then from there, go in, have a bit of a rest, like do some administration, some personal stuff. Then I'll sort of go into like more team based stuff or sales calls. So like my sales calls usually go for 30 to 45 minutes.
So I've got like, you know, around.
15 sales calls this week, 12 sales calls, hopefully from that get like an 80% close rate. So do that throughout the week. And then generally speaking, I try and keep it to around 10 sales calls a week because I have so many other responsibilities. So I try and break up the week between like administration, coaching and sales. And then all the content that I do is kind of on top of that. So I try and batch the content together. So I try and do like, you know, days where I can get a whole bunch of different things out together, which is why like I'm in the same clothes all the time for four or five different pieces of content, collective batch it together. Because I am doing YouTube, Podcast, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, all that kind of stuff, which is how we get the message out there of what sales sniper is.
And so, yeah, I just kind of.
Fit that all into a day. I do it all at the house. There's my beautiful wife over there.
Say hello wife.
My dog. And this is where it all happens. I do it from home. Love what I do. And I really appreciate you guys joining me today, so thank you.
