This is a YouTube video titled "Are you making this mistake? #shorts" containing a monologue from October 6, 2021, offering sales advice to business owners about avoiding technical jargon during calls and suggesting role-playing unfamiliar sales scenarios to improve selling skills.
Don't get technical on a call. If you're a business owner, chances are you kind of run into the frustrating fact that you actually know too much about what you're selling and it's very, very easy for you to get stuck in the weeds. You want to avoid being a technician. You're there to make a sale. You're not there to teach them anything. You're there to get them to understand the problems and give them a pathway towards the solutions. This is a really, really easy thing that you can do right now to stop that bad habit. And that's role play. Selling something that you have no idea about. Go and sell like in a role play. If you sell coaching consulting, sell water filtration systems, have absolutely no idea about the product or service that you're selling. Just understand the one thing which is you need to know which is the problem that you solve. Go out there, role play that and then you'll get out of the habit of being a technician in a call.
