This is a YouTube video titled "Could You Go Through What I Did? | Inspirational Shorts" containing a monologue by a single speaker recounting their experience during a grueling special operations selection phase involving extreme physical and mental endurance challenges. The speaker reflects on the toughness of the process and the mindset required to persevere.
When I was in special operations, actually, technically speaking, I wasn't in yet. I was on selection. We were in the final phase, which is called demarcation where you do 96 hours with no food and no sleep. It's a pretty ruthless four day period. And I remember, like we were doing this, we were doing a workout where somebody had to give up in order for it to stop. And giving up meant never to reapply. It's not like, oh, I'm give up and I'll try again. It's like, no, no, no, you are never allowed to reapply because you have withdrawn it on request. And I remember there were guys next to me that were sh T. Pissing themselves and throwing up all at the same time because we've been working out for hours. And someone got up and rang the bell and I was shocked. Like, I just, I couldn't lose that battle. Like, there is nothing they could have done to me in that moment. Like, if I make you work out for 12 hours solid, it's 12 hours. That's it. That 12 hours would suck. Yes, it would. But you'd look back on it 10 years later as hilarious. Because that's how I look back on it. It was shocking to me that people were willing to lose.
