This is a YouTube video titled "Don’t Make This Mistake at Events...🙅♂️ | Matthew Ryder" containing a monologue or talk by a single speaker providing advice on effective networking strategies at events, emphasizing engaging with others and using a specific questioning process to be memorable. The content was created in January 2024.
The worst thing that I see sales reps doing at events is that they just go through and they hang out with their crew and they don't go out there and network. If you're at events, if you're like part of the company, who's throwing the event, or if you're at industry events, your goal is to meet as many people as humanly possible and be the one that they remember. The way that you do that is one by talking about them a lot. Use your NEPQ process. Hey, like, what do you do? Oh, I do this. How long you've been doing that? Ah, okay. What is that going into that? All right, well, do you like it? Awesome. What do you like about it? So you just, you're networking, you're going out there, and your goal is for them to remember you by how much you know about them.
