A sales consultant explains why trying to fix everything at once kills your business. Pick one weak metric, improve it, then move to the next. Spreading yourself thin across multiple goals guarantees you'll fail at all of them.
So I went into my Instagram and asked, what is it that's preventing you from achieving your goals? And this is one of the responses. It was trying to be good at everything. This is a classic mistake that people make. They sort of try and spread themselves too thin. Especially, let's take just entrepreneurship in general. They're trying to get more leads, get better leads, get better sales. They're trying to have more channels, more this, more this, more this. And they're just trying to spread themselves extraordinarily thin. The easiest thing that you can do right now is have a look at the lowest performing metric in your business and then find the lowest performing metric in that particular subset. And then just incrementally work on each one at a time, right? That way you can have a really targeted approach. When you make the change, you'll be able to see a direct outcome. Because if you try and change 10 things at once, five of them might have a tremendous result, five of them might make it worse. You'll have a net neutral. You'll throw them all away and you'll never know what worked and what didn't.
