Gear doesn't matter! - It's content that's king!

A creator argues that expensive gear won't make your videos better. Focus on posting consistently instead. Building trust with your audience on Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram matters more than production quality.
I mean, this stuff is just, it's just shot on an iPhone, do you know what I mean? Like all we've done is just shot this on an iPhone. Like it's no big deal. We don't really have much gear. One of the things that really pisses me off about business owners is when they want their marketing to do better and better and better and hit more and more people, but yet they refuse to do content. And content is really what allows you to build value in your marketplace to more and more and more people. And that allows your advertising to hit more people and be much more effective. And content is really not that difficult. It can be really simple. All the stuff that we shoot is just on an iPhone, you know what I mean? And so like you don't have to go crazy, you don't have to have all these crazy elaborate rig setups and all kind of gut like the gear doesn't matter. It's basically just getting out there and doing the content. Alright? So if you think of it as like a series of little circles, do you know what I mean? And so we have a little circle in here and that's what we're marketing to. So those are the people that are getting our offers. Then from there we widen it out and those are the people which we give content. And again, really, really simple content. You don't need to have elaborate rigs and videographers and all that kind of stuff. All you need is an iPhone. Guys, this is being shot right now, okay? Then from there you fill that bucket enough to where you can have to where the people in your marketing can have a good enough idea as to who's in there and how I guess good your audience is. Then from there you widen out the people that you're actually marketing to with your offers. And then using that, you then widen out the base while you're building your audience. Because we have two main types of marketing. One is conversion and one is reach. So conversion is that nugget in the middle. That's who we're actually sending offers to. Guys like my marketing team comes to me all the time. They say, hey man, I think we built enough trust in this marketplace in this particular segment to be able to actually give them like a $97 offer, straight self liquidating offer, no sales coin or nothing, just like an option to buy a product. And I go, okay, cool, run that for as long as you can. We run that up until the point where it starts to not pay for itself anymore. And then we turn it off and Then what we do is we. We use that, and now we have a buyer pool, and then we use those for retargeting, for other products and services or for book of calls and stuff like that. But the whole time what we're trying to do is expand the audience. Expand the audience, expand the audience. And we do that through videos. Now, Facebook is a phenomenal medium, and so is YouTube and Instagram and all those kind of things, but they're all craving content. Like, you know, if you think of like the algorithm is like a beast that is constantly requiring content and views. And a very wise man once told me once that an algorithm is like, it is like a little succubus dementor that is just constantly craving views and click through and all that kind of stuff, right? And so we want to be able to feed. And the way that we do that is by getting good enough engaging content to where we keep eyeballs on screens for a long period of time. And what I'm sick of seeing is all these business owners going like, trying to out media buy each other, when all they really have to do is think of like, how can I actually provide quality content, quality stuff for the people in my marketplace to where they actually start to trust me? And guys, it doesn't have to be that hard, all right? I mean, this whole thing, it's just. It's shot on an iPhone. I mean, this isn't shut on an iPhone, but you can imagine if it was. I think you guys get the idea. Hey, guys. So I hope you had as much fun watching this as we did making it. But seriously, just get out there, start making some content. There's some videos here and here. If you guys want to learn how to start making some content, just go and watch those. Thanks, guys. Bye D.
