Matt Ryder describes how he built a low-effort, high-revenue business by leveraging a personal brand built over 5–6 years through free educational content. He explains launching a low-ticket program that converted into about 1,000 recurring members paying $50–$200/month across tiers, allowing him to earn roughly $80k/month while working ~2 hours per week and pursue other interests.

Here's how I make a business that makes 80k a month for two hours a week. I spent years developing a personal brand, didn't leverage it much, and then from there I decided to leverage it. So I've been giving quality content, or what I consider to be quality content for 5 or 6 years now on all different platforms and been a part of many different kind of businesses and coaching businesses. And I've amassed a following of people just through the fact that I was. My main concerted effort was educating people for free and not really having much else available for them. If they asked me questions, I would answer, but there was nothing there. So after that I was able to then launch a low ticket program and nearly a thousand people bought it and I have a thousand recurring members and all of that is just to go to show that like the power of personal brand and the power of just delivering quality information to people and sometimes not always having an expectation of return is the greatest long play that I could ever do. And it's the greatest long play that I recommend everybody does. Salespeople, business owners, whatever you may be. If you can amass a tribe of people who will listen to you and you get valuable information from then over time you can leverage that to provide them more information. But also like the world's easiest business model, I literally spend two hours a week and I have, I think there's like nearly a thousand members now that are paying 50, 150 or 200 bucks a month for access to different levels of coaching and different levels of content. And it's super fulfilling, easy, and allows me to pursue things that I want to pursue outside of just this.
