A short YouTube monologue by Matt Ryder explaining that long-term consistency, plain-speaking, and truthfulness in his public content (podcasts, videos) build trust so prospects buy with little active selling; he attributes this to being the same person across contexts and refusing to perform influencer personas.

Why people still buy from me, even though I barely sell, is that I've spent a long time developing a brand where clearly don't care what people think. And I say what I say and I try and tell the truth all the time. And I think that comes through. I've done so many podcasts, so many videos, that people have made a decision about whether or not they trust me or whether they don't. And so if someone's like hopping on a sales call with me, it's usually a lay down because they've consumed enough content to where they've already decided if what I'm going to say is true or not. And because I think I do talk so plainly and I don't try and wrap things in sales riddles, I think that people consider that to be more truthful than someone who's like, constantly trying to play some sort of verbal game with them. And over the course of years, I've been so consistent with that that people can tell that I'm the same person here, I'm the same person on YouTube, I'm the same person at home. I'm just the same person. Because to be honest, it would be way too fucking exhausting to be like seven different people, like half these influencers are. It would be exhausting and terrible. So I'm not going to do that anyway.
