How much do you think of kind of being under the age of 30 and scaling as fast as you did? How many mistakes do you think you made just because you were younger?
All of them. Because I came right out of church world. I would have been 26. I had no idea how to set up infrastructure.
Yeah.
I had no idea how to build a business. I knew how to get clients, which people kind of tend to think that that's business.
Well, that's what business coaching is, right?
Yes. Getting clients.
Yes. It's just like acquisition models.
You can acquire your way into, like, into bankruptcy.
Oh, yeah.
Because if you don't know how to keep the clients, you're just going to turn and burn. So 2015 to 2017 was figuring out how to hire people. But then I lost all of those people because I wasn't a great leader. People almost became an accessory. But after Covid is like, when I lost my first round of salespeople, and I was like, why would somebody leave? Yeah, 50 grand a month. Why would you leave? I was like, oh, they hate me. So that was my first, I think, aha moment. I like, you know, how you manage people is important. Client retention became a big thing because if you can retain customers and clients, you can bank almost anything.
