This is a YouTube video titled "How to sell any fitness program in 15 minutes" containing a recorded conversation from July 2020 between Matt Ryder and a potential client named Marco. The dialogue is a sales call where Matt Ryder discusses Marco's fitness goals, challenges, and lifestyle habits, and then explains the details of a 12-week fitness program designed to provide accountability, nutrition guidance, and training support. The conversation focuses on Marco's desire to lose weight, improve consistency, and receive personalized coaching.
Hello?
Hey, man, it's just Matt from Back to Me. Is this Marco?
Yeah, it's me. You said Matt?
Yeah, Matt. Yeah, you know it is.
Yeah.
So you recently reached out to us about one of our 12 week fitness programs. I've only just sort of just had time to get. To get back to you to see if I can help. Is now, is now an appropriate time?
Yeah, yeah, why not?
Yeah, perfect. I should just start off by asking is, have you, have you found what you're looking for or are you still looking?
No, definitely still looking, man.
Okay. And do you like, do you know what you're looking for?
Let's say that the goal that had, if he's what you're referring, yeah, I want to lose 10 kilos. That's what I would be looking to do. And I saw a little bit on the odds that you guys help people, so I was like, you know, why not? Let's get some information.
Okay, that makes sense, man. I was just curious, like, what is it that, like, when you went through the, the ad that you saw, like, opted into, like, kind of, what is it that attracted your attention?
I saw the testimonials of people losing weight in, you know, in a short amount of time. So I was like, you know, I need to lose weight, so why not?
Okay, that makes sense. And like, what are you currently doing now to help you possibly lose weight or get healthy? If I could ask?
I tried multiple things, but I go and pick it up and a week later I kind of give up on it. And after I get on the bandwagon, I was like, you know, that can help me. And that kind of start a week into it, and that's a loss.
Okay, so typically when you're kind of in that mode, like, what is it that you do?
I get really act up at some point, and after I kind of lose motivation after a little bit because I think, like, it's not gonna work for me.
Okay, so when you're kind of in that motivated zone, do you go to the gym? Do you go for walks? Do you run? Do you go low carb, keto carbs? Like, like, like what is your, what is your process?
Let's say I like to, to follow the trend in terms of, like, I follow a lot of influences. Okay. And sometimes I try the kiddo. I tried walks, I tried to go to the gym. But it seems like the what's missing is really kind of the go past that. We can make it consistent. You.
Okay, so do you, so do you like the, the train Nutrition plan you have in place now?
Not really, man. Not. Not at all.
Okay, like what? Like what? Like, what don't you like about it?
It's pretty much non existent. Is, you know, one week. Yes, one week. No, we can't know.
So like, what do you mean by that one? We got like one week. Yes, one week now. I mean, I know it means on and off, but like, can you sort of dive into that bit deeper?
Yeah, of course. I think is, you know, when you have those kind of plans that are made for. Made you fail because they're not customized for you. That's what I feel like. I feel like I don't have that kind of customization, so I feel like it's not going to work for me and that I fell off the track.
Okay. And how ends up going for.
Oh, years, mate. He is at least six years.
Okay. Wow. Has that had like an impact on you? And I guess your, like your attitude towards health and fitness.
In terms of impact. I can't see myself in the mirror. So you want to call it an impact? That's pretty much an impact.
Okay. All right. Well, just so I can see the rationale behind why you might be looking to kind of lose weight, get some help. But it's just besides that sort of consistency and that I think you'd mentioned like a structure and a plan. Like, what's the main reason why you're kind of looking to streamline this now instead of kind of doing it the way that you've. You've always done it.
Going back and feeling confident is the most important things. Because it's having that kind of impact on me. I start hating. I hate myself. So that's. That's mainly why I want to get it done.
Okay. And I suppose you said 10 kilos. Is that. Is that kind of. Is that kind of what you're looking to do? Is that the.
Let's say it's roughly 10 kilo. But. Yeah.
Sorry, what do you mean roughly?
Because it was 10 kilo before COVID Now I'm afraid to jump on a scale because it might be more.
Okay, cool. So we're looking at between 10, maybe 15 kilos. Let's. There. Okay, sweet. Okay. And so just want to understand like what you possibly kind of wanting to achieve. Can you run through like a typical day of eating for me? Like. Yeah, like how many meals a day do you eat?
Two big meals and a snack in the middle. Had struggle with time just because for work and stress. So I'm not really kind of. I Don't really posture my food, but I just eat as I go. And base of food is like Subway down the road.
Okay, so how many. How many meals do you eat by. By. Versus how many meals do you make yourself?
The ratio per week is out of like an entire week. I would say that 5, 10 meals comes from kitchen and Woolworth in terms of snacks, and the rest is all Uber eats and Subway.
So five or six meals a week, you eat out, you buy it.
The other nine are takeaways.
Okay, then what about on the weekends? Like, are you. Are you going out to cafes or are you kind of doing things, Sleep?
Actually, on the weekends, I'm pretty. Pretty normal, if you like to call it that way.
Okay. And then what about coffee? Coffee?
Yeah. Yeah.
Okay. And how many day do you have?
At least two. One in the morning before people do work and one in the afternoon up, like I would say before to finish work and kind of switch me on.
Okay. Do you have it at cafe? Do you get, like, cappuccino? Or do you, like, make it at the work or do you make it at home? What do you do?
No, no, I get it outside. Yeah.
Okay. And how many of those do you have a week? Like five, seven. A week?
Yeah. Roughly. There. Yeah.
Okay, perfect. How do you smoke?
Yeah.
How much?
A packet of 20 a day.
Pack a day. Savage. What does a pack of ciggies cost these days, mate?
25.
All right, see, so what's that a pack? What's 25 times 7? What's that mean? What's that, like, $175 a week on ciggies? Well, at least we know you can afford the program, so that's always good. What about booze?
I don't drink alcohol. That's on the good side.
Okay, that'll make sense, man. In terms of, like, taking time for yourself, do you have any hobbies?
Not really. In terms of, like. No, I don't have any kind of hobbies at all.
Okay. All right. Okay, man. I guess the last thing that I would check is kind of like, your stress levels. Do you feel the words a bit strange? Like, do you have a partner? Are you a single guy?
I'm a single guy at the moment. I don't have any kind of part.
Okay, perfect. In terms of stress, like, how's. How's that going at the moment? Like, stress can massively affect kind of weight loss.
Yep. Yeah, I feel an opposition when I'm stressed. I'm really stressed about it. Because you've been going for so Long that I don't see the end of the day, so.
Okay, that makes sense. That makes sense in terms of like, have you ever had a PT before? Have you ever, like, what kind of experience in the fitness industry do you have?
Actually had a PDF a couple of years ago, and I done the first week. The guy was great, but just felt like, just fell off on the track. I was a little bit scared. That gym, maybe it wasn't really the right gym for me, so that kind of went not really the way how we were planning to go.
Okay, so like, what is it that you think kind of, I guess prevented you from being successful with that approach? Was it just the fact that you weren't really comfortable in the environment?
Yeah, that one was me as well. Big kind of mindset issue, you know.
Okay, all right, let's do this. Let's make sure that what we do would actually, would actually work for you, I suppose, besides having, I guess, like the plan, the support, you know, the accountability, like all that kind of stuff. Like, what are you actually, what are you actually looking for in a training and coaching program? Like, what's your ideal criteria?
This stage in time, I need guidance. I need someone that can keep me accountable and somebody can build a routine for me because otherwise I don't know where to go from here.
All right, okay, but why is that important to you now though?
Because it's been important for the past 10 years. It didn't happen, but at some point it has to.
Okay, so it's, it's time to make a change. Possibly.
Yeah. Yeah. Okay.
And I suppose with the current plan that you have, and I guess, like, be real with me, how, like, how close do you feel you are to being able to lose that 10 to 15 kilos and maintain it year round.
With the planet? I go right now, not even, none, even close. There's no percentage.
Why is that?
Because it's non existent. Like there is no routine in place. And without routine, you know, can't pick it up, a program, go, you know, put it on and keep going like that.
And are you, are you willing to settle for that?
Not at all. No.
And whose choice is it if you settle on?
It's me, my own. Yeah.
So. Okay, man. So I guess so. I know, like how, like, how important is it for you to really start changing your situation so you can lose that weight?
Extremely, extremely important. I would say baido, if I would have to forget.
All right, man. Well, you know, I think that what we do might actually work for you. And with your Permission. I'd like to kind of take you through what we do and how. I think it might help you solve some of your problems. Would that be okay?
Yeah. Yeah, let's do it.
All right, man. So it's a 12 week program. It's $1,600. And with that you get a combination of one on one with some group training. The reason why we do that is to hold you accountable so that we can ensure that you actually do it this time and don't go in and out week to week. Does that make sense?
Yes, it does. How much did you say the price was?
It's, it's, I forgot. It's 12 weeks. Yeah, yeah. It's $1600 for 12 weeks. Right, go. Okay, but like, but does that make sense, that kind of accountability piece? We're going to ensure that you're not going to kind of go in and out each week?
Yeah, yeah.
Okay, cool. And then, and then what we do is we provide you with a nutrition plan so that you can, you can have extreme clarity on, on what you're getting. And we're going to, you know, I guess, I guess before I go into that specifically, are you, are you open to kind of reducing some of those takeout meals that you're having every week so that you actually can't get your result?
Yes, yes, I can do that.
Okay, perfect. And then, so we're going to tell you what to eat and we're going to tell you how to cook it and what to cook. And we're going to have that mainly be meals that you prepare at home so you have time and that you prepared so you're not left out there kind of floundering for yourself. Make sense?
Yes, it does.
The last thing we're going to do is we're going to get you a training program. Now I have to ask this question. Are you open to reducing your cigarette intake? Because this is going to hurt if you're smoking as much as you are. So are you open to doing that so that your exercise is more effective?
Yeah, if I have to. I told you that's part of the accountability.
Okay. Now, I'm not asking you to quit, but are you able to like, say, cut that in half to say, from seven packs a week to three packs a week, would that be.
Yeah, I can do that.
Okay. Okay, perfect. And so we're going to take you through. So does that, does that structure that I've laid out, does that, does that make sense?
Yes, it actually does.
Okay. And does that, does that, does does that feel like it could. It could possibly be the answer for you?
Yeah, this stage.
Okay, but like. But why, though? Like, what is it specifically that you think is the answer?
The accountability. The fact that you also, on this call, you give me some sort of direction of cutting cigarettes. You're being really realistic. And I feel like this could be possibly a good fit for both of us.
Okay. Okay, that makes sense. So from here, Marco, I don't have anything else for you. So the next steps would be. And if you feel it's appropriate, we can go ahead and organize your onboarding. We can do that with a Visa or a debit card. And then from there, we can introduce you to your coach and we can start to sort of start to really get you underway and hold you accountable to a process where you're actually going to get a result this time. Would that be appropriate? Or how would you like to proceed from here?
Yeah, I want to do it.
So sweet.
I want to say something for people that maybe is going to watch this or people are watching this right now. I was about to give you objection, but you cannot. Just because the call the finances killed me. And whatever I say in terms of finances or time or asking my wife is not existent. After I call this on all of this structure, just in case of reference, like, you guys make it easy. We're not making easy. Just like it's impossible also, because you give me guy, you give me guideline in terms of cutting cigarettes off, cutting takeaways off, and that money makes sense for me and on my side, for my structure that I go, I embrace objection. Because that's the way how I am. I put myself on the authority standpoint, which I am willing to get it on because I'm a big believer on. If you change, if you confront a pattern in fitness, that they're going to start because they know that you have to do that. This one is really fucking good.
I hope that was valuable for people. I'm going to stay on. If there's any questions. I'll stay on. I know you have to go, Marco.
Yeah, I got to go.
I'll see if there's any questions.
