Hey, guys. What's up? Matt here. And today's episode of Just the Tip is for you sales guys out there looking for a sales position, looking to start a new role or potentially get into your first role. This is how to stand out in an interview. When you're looking for a sales role, you're on show. You should be selling that person. You should be trying to get commitment on the call. I don't want a sales guy that can't sell themselves. You can't sell yourself. You can't sell anything. You want to try and get commitment. You want it? You want. Take me through a sales process, write a script out. What are things that you want to say? What are questions that you have for me or for the person who's hiring? All right, you need to have a process that you're going through, and you need to present well. You need to come on the call looking good, looking the part. Your audio wants to be crisp. You need to look and feel the part of a salesperson. You need to exude professionalism. Also, before that, anything you fill out or any communication you have needs to be done in full English. So I cannot tell you how many times guys come to me dming me asking for a job interview, and it's like talking to a 12 year old, right? I will not ever give someone an interview who, like, uses ridiculous language and, you know, abbreviates everything. It's like you're talking to a potential employer. If you can't be bothered writing in English or like, in complete sentences, then you're lazy. That's. That's what it is. Like, there's no way around it. And so present yourself as best as you can. Offer something besides, like, working for free doesn't mean anything to anybody. Oh, come and I'll work for free. I'll do this. It's like, no, no, that's not what people want. People want to know why you're different, what you'll do, why you'll go above and beyond. Like, what methodologies do you bring? What are you looking forward to learning? What do you hope to get out of the job? What do you. Where do you want to be in 12 months, three years, five years, all that kind of stuff. Like, come prepared, be someone who I can see or anyone can see in their organization long term. So, all right, guys, that's really what you have to do to stand out.
