Short YouTube monologue (sales/coaching) arguing that 'I need to think about it' often signals a lost sale. The speaker emphasizes that people act from emotion first, then logic, and recommends combining emotional urgency with logical reasoning to overcome ingrained excuse-driven thought patterns. Uses examples of children learning quickly and a Jordan Peterson reference to illustrate differences in approach and hesitation.

If you're in a sales call and then the person finishes it with like, I need to go and think about it. You go through the whole song and dance. You just can't get them to overcome it, then chances are that person is never going to buy anything. And because you have to feel, then think, then do. And it's in that order. You don't think about putting on your left shoe first. You feel like it, so you do it right. If someone is fat, they're just going to keep thinking about fat things. They're not going to think about going to the gym. They're not going to sit in the dark room like Jordan Peterson and go, like, I need to contemplate everything. All they're going to do is come up with the same list of excuses and reasons why now isn't the right time to start. That's like that mental thought pattern. It's the thing that just keeps them doing the exact same thing over and over again. And so you have to overcome that by combining the two parts of the brain together, the logical and the emotional, and then making them move forward. Like, the reason why people don't move forward after that is just because those thought patterns are ingrained. And if you look at how kids do things and how adults do things, like, the reason why kids learn so much faster is because they're not afraid of making mistakes. So that think about the little goblins in the back of their head that turn like, now isn't the right time. It's just, what if it doesn't work? That's all that is. And so you need to drive more urgency. You need to understand the real problem, understand the real solution. And then if someone, they need to be shown the logical conclusion of their flawed logic that's caused them to be in a position that they're not ultimately happy with.
