This is a YouTube video titled "If You Can’t Do This, You Won’t Be Able to Run a Successful Business🔥 | Matthew Ryder" featuring a discussion involving Matthew Ryder and another speaker. The content focuses on business leadership principles, specifically hiring, firing, and promoting employees effectively to build a successful company. The video was created in September 2023.
If you're going to build something big, it's not you doing everything, it's you hiring people to do things. And you're in charge of the following framework. Hire fast. If they prove to you in the first three, six, or twelve months, they stink. Fire faster. If they prove to you in the first three, six, or 12 months, they got it. Promote fastest. More than anything I do.
If you can't fire people quickly, you're not going to be a good business owner or CEO because it just means that you're going to, like, allow awkwardness to stop you from doing things that are necessary to drive the business forward. Because bad people can sink a business very, very quickly.
