This is a YouTube video titled "If you're asking the questions, it may not be for your #entrepreneur #salescoaching #salessniper" containing a monologue from August 24, 2022, discussing the traits and mindset related to being an entrepreneur, including risk tolerance and challenges with authority. The speaker reflects on personal experiences and offers advice on how to assess entrepreneurial suitability.
Alright. So I got asked a question on one of my reels and it was like, how do I know if being an entrepreneur is right for me? And the answer is, if you're asking the question, chances are it's not. Because it's not for everyone, nor should it be. And just because it's not for you doesn't mean that's a bad thing. Like, entrepreneurs are traditionally not very good at running businesses long term and people who are good at running businesses long term are not very entrepreneurial because it's a different in like a risk reward and you want to be able to take that risk early. So I would say one of the key ways that you can sing, that you can figure it out, is what is your risk tolerance? And if your risk tolerance is very high, chances are you are fairly entrepreneurial. Also, I've been fired from nearly every job I've ever had, except for in the military. And I'm sure I would have been fired if they could have, because I'm very, very bad at taking direction if I don't completely have ultimate confidence in the individual giving it to me. Like, if I don't really respect them and they haven't proven it to me, then I'm not very good at taking their advice. So that is a pretty normal hallmark of an entrepreneur. And that's just something that I'm good at, something that I'm bad at. It's not a bad thing, it's not a good thing, it's just a thing. And if you're the same way, chances are you're probably an entrepreneur. If you're not, chances are you're not.
