Live Q and A and Sales Training

Matt Ryder coaches Robert Paulson, Jay, and others through sales techniques in a live role-play. They work on creating urgency, handling objections, and building personal brands for executives.
Sales because product and people. So I didn't really have to overcome anything. So I just applied to committed coaches and I'll do onboarding next week to see if I can get in. So just really kind of seeing how the high ticket sales goes and things like that. Learn more after I join, so it's kind of where I'm at.
Okay, Nice one. Well, it's a great place to be. They have 11, 000 leads a day. We did 7 million collected last month, USD dollars. And overall it's just the. When I first started there. What's that? J.
That's not. That's not rupees, is it?
US dollars. Nice.
Yeah.
Rupees.
10.
10 million rupees.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's good deal. It's Tony guts. Yeah. What's happening? How can I help?
Guys? I'm here.
Hey. So I'm dealing with a little bit of the. Obviously it's the European like, everyone's on holidays thing. And obviously, you know, I space. It's like kind of B2B to B2B thing. I think I know the answer to this, but like, I'm struggling kind of like get them from like, hey, it makes sense. I'm kind of. I just want to like push it to the next week or the holidays when I get back from holidays. And I'm struggling with the whole like how much do I really try and tie down? Or is it like maybe they are just on holidays with their wife and they just want to look at it when they get back. So what am I. Yeah, I think if that's.
If it's. If it's a commonality, like if. When Christmas is coming up, I always put in something to like try and stop that from being a thing.
Right.
So, you know, hey, just say well done. Because like so many people at the moment are like putting it off till next year, you know, I mean to. The fact that you're even here on this call means that, you know, you're somebody's willing to do something, which I think is admirable because like, if it was really important, like just do it now, right? Like no good diet starts on a Monday. If you really want to lose weight, you would just start now, right? And they're like, yeah. So it's like the fact that you're here, I just want to say well done. Because like tons of people are pushing this off, you know, so maybe like a more concisely worded version of that I think is. Is solid. And if it is like, like, you know, you're gonna encounter that Fourth of July, you're gonna encounter that, you know, European summer, you're gonna like school holidays. There's all those kind of times where that's a really normal and regular thing. And if I can see that, then I'll try and frame it up. And then from there it's, it's like you're only going to be in a worse position when you get back, you know, like if you can start laying foundations while you're away because you don't really require a ton from them.
Right?
Yeah, no, no, it's like nothing. There's no, like time is. Time isn't a relevant thing with us because it's like shop for an hour a month. Like, oh, it's just a push off, like, you know.
Yeah, exactly. Then I would, I would try and like, like make it so that they are, you are framing now a lot. Why now, though? You know what I mean? Is there any reason why you're doing that now? Like what shifted recently? Okay, why not put it off? Right. So then if you get that and they're like, you know, I'll do it after the holiday, you know, then, then it's like, okay, what's going to be different after the holiday? And it, you know, like, let's really nail that down. Because if, if it, if it is something that they have to do during it and it's going to take them away from their family time, then I get it. But, but if it's not, and that is just a push away, then I don't think it's a valid concern. And it's really just them repeating the same pattern that's caused them to be in the show where they're ultimately at right now. And so it's like, are you happy with where you're at? No. The decision making that's caused you to be where you are right now, thinking how you are right now and in a position where you're ultimately not happy with your outcome. Like how much longer join a lot of that decision making process, dictate your career and the perception of you and the value of you moving forward. You know what I mean? And it's like, so it's like if you don't want to, I understand we all have holidays, but like from then after that there's this. After that there's this. After that there's this. So what do you want to reconvene in like April?
Yeah.
And especially like if you figure out like how they want to be perceived in the marketplace does that align with how they want to be perceived? You know, a leader, a go getter, a this and this. It's like, what does a leader and a go getter put things off? No, they don't exactly. They do things. That's why the leaders.
Right.
Like what is the best. What is that version of you? Do we perceive that way when he's acting like it? You know, these are all like semi throwaway, kind of overly verbose ways of doing it. But I think if you set that up and then tie it through, then you can pretty consistently make it so that they're incongruent by even giving that objection. And people hate that.
You were saying on two calls ago how you're really good at tying urgency. Because the challenge we have sometimes is like I'm struggling to type urgency throughout the call. Can you help me structure that from the things you've done, like tying urgency from the start? Because as you said, you can't tiege and see at the end and then try and like time down.
Right? Yeah, for sure.
So a lot of the executives are coming on like kind of like window shopping. I'm curious. I've never thought about that. Like, okay, great work, pique your interests. Right. So it's like I'm trying to create urgency in that 30 to 45 minute call. So they go, that makes sense. Let's go.
Okay, cool. So if we could role play then I can hear you do a few things. Ben, you're always good at being a role play person. If you could be my. You're an executive. That's like you want to kind of. Or did you can just explain your offer?
J. Yeah. So we help people like executives and people in corporate build like an online presence. Basically it's like personal branding for like executives. They want jobs, they want like speaking opportunities, they want to be a thought leader. So a lot of them come on the call, like have thought about it, but they haven't really done anything.
Right.
So we help them kind of give them a plan to help them do that. And they're all in corporates so like they're all like stuck in working for daddy. So we want to help them like make more money because they're entrepreneurs.
Thought leader is important. If that's a real common through line, I would be using that as like a real, you know, what is the difference between someone who is just stuck in the position that you're in and a thought leader? What is that? What does leader do? They lead from the front. I mean, so like what do you have to do? And I think if you can have things like that. I love that lead from that. And then, like, front. Because they're gonna do a front with you. And so then it, like, they establish, like, and they identify with that idea. Like, oh, it's my idea, you know, from the front. My name is Robert Paulson. But anyway, let's go and see the roleplay.
Do you want to go? Like, where do we want to go from that? Like, right at the beginning?
Because, like, that's where you're going to start establishing. Yeah.
Okay.
Hey, Ben. Nice to connect with you.
Hey, you too, man.
Good.
Hey, my name is Jay. I'm one of the strategists. Hey, I know.
What.
We reached out on LinkedIn, and you booked a call with us to kind of go through your online presence. Does that sound right? Yeah, just out of curiosity, you know, when we sent the message, what kind of piqued your interest about us? Kind of like having a look at your online presence in the first place?
Yeah, no, just from. From what I saw, you know, it sounded like you could, you know, potentially help me build some more awareness around, you know, my personal brand and what we do. So I was just curious to see what you guys do.
Okay.
You know, I was looking at your LinkedIn just before we started.
What.
What do you. What are you currently doing right now to kind of, like, you know, build out the personal brand, you know, just to kind of put yourself out there?
Oh, yeah, Yeah.
I mean, we're posted on social media. I have, like, an internal team doing some things.
Okay.
And like, anything else or just. Just posting a couple of times.
I mean, we do some networking events. You know, I'll travel around a couple times a year, and, you know, I'm connected with a lot of big people, so that always helps.
Okay.
Like, and. And, you know, typically, when it comes to, like, full leadership or, like, personal branding, everyone's got kind of, like, their.
Own kind of version of that.
Right. Some people want to be, like, I want to be like, the Tony Robber. So it's like, hey, I just want to, like, be a little bigger than I am now. Like, where are you kind of, like, wanting to kind of be seen as. Because thought leadership's quite big. What does that look like?
Yeah, yeah, no, I don't. I don't need to be famous or anything. I just want to get my, you know, my message out there. And I think that I have a pretty unique.
What do you mean?
Oh, just, you know, I feel like I. I have A pretty unique spin on, on, you know, what we do as a company and what I can personally.
Yeah. Okay.
I mean, let me ask you. And so like, let me ask you a question. Are you happy with where you're at right now?
Nah, that's why I'm on this call.
Okay.
And the decision making process that's got you to be in a position to where you're ultimately unhappy and it's causing you to feel this feeling right now. Do you feel like, do you want to let that decision making process dictate your life?
That's why I'm here. You're trying to change it. I just, I just feel like if I can try it, then.
Yeah. And like I'm, I'm sure that you, you know, walk past a beautiful woman and go, maybe I should just her. And then see if she's worth talking to Jimmy. But like, you know, business is closed, buddy.
Okay.
I got standards.
All right?
You know, I mean, but, and, and, and again, like, I'm sure that you want me to be invested in your success, right?
Of course.
Exactly.
And I don't do shit for free, which I think that you can respect.
Okay.
So that decision making process that you're using, do you want. Allowed to dictate you moving forward?
Yeah, I mean, I've just. I'm honestly just going to look for a company that does it, that does it for free in the beginning and.
Then I'm sure they're good. That's not desperate as fuck, is it? Just gonna look for someone. If that's what you want to do, I think you should go and do that. But do you feel like the coming that does it for free is really gonna be the best company? Or is it just a thirsty ass coming that needs people?
Yeah.
You work for free?
No. I don't know.
You should, apparently. It's a good way to get people. Yeah.
Right? Yeah.
So what do you need to do to put yourself in a position to win?
Yeah, I mean, just need to. Just need to go ahead and do it, right?
Maybe.
What do you think? You tell me, buddy. This is your, this is your ball game. I'm just sitting on the bench.
Yeah.
It would just be. I mean. Yeah. Don't I need to. I guess I need to think about. See if I can find a company to, to do it for free.
For sure. That's a good way to do it.
Yeah.
You think that's going to give you the best opportunity?
Yeah.
Do you think it gives you this opportunity?
Probably not.
Okay.
Then what do you want to do.
That's exactly what happened day. That's literally what happened.
All you can do is take people around. Like, you can either lead into water, but if someone's just like. And I could keep going quite easily. I gotta go because I'm running late to a meeting. I could just keep going, like, it's fine. And then he'll just keep thinking himself stupider and stupider hole. Like, every hole he did. It was every. All he did was just dumber and dumber.
Yeah, yeah.
You're like, you know, it's like, all right, do what you want, man. And then you said, like, oh, I guess I should do it. I was like, maybe.
I don't know.
Do what you want, right? Because I knew that if I said, like, okay, let's do it, then it's gonna be just keep going. So, like, I might as well just allow it to keep going. Like, I don't care if you buy it gives a.
So even at that point, if they are kind of bored in, you just tell them, like, you just kind of push back a little bit just to make sure they're fully solved.
Just be like, if you want me, like, I don't give a. Do you want.
Yeah.
You know what I mean? I got to go. But we can do more of that next week. But, yeah. All right, guys. Good. Shit. Is the recording in the group? It's live streamed onto Facebook, onto YouTube.
Okay.
All right, catch you people.
Awesome. Thanks. Bye.
