A sales talk on fixing problems quickly through mental rehearsal and reflection. The speaker emphasizes thoughtful preparation over rushing, arguing that rehearsing solutions in your head before acting improves performance.
One piece of advice that you can give to salespeople that are just banging their heads against the wall. I think the main problem is people don't think through their problems. Like, I think if you thought about it, you'd figure it out. And it doesn't mean you're not working hard, but it means you're working really dumb because you haven't thought about it. Sales training is one thing. I think people should do it. It's great. I was getting better at trying to get good at sales. Like, I would look at my script and I would go, like, I wrote it out exactly. Like, I'm going to say it. I had my own inflections. I had all that written out. And then I would go, like, like, what's going to happen when I say that? And then, you know when you have, like, an argument in your head with someone in the shower that you. From a conversation you had four years ago, like, we'll role play every iteration and really think about it. And then, like, when you get reactions, go, oh, man, like, why am I getting that? And think through it.
