Matt Ryder, a 40M/year CEO, says the strong US dollar has made American products too expensive. A $7 coffee and pricey t-shirts pushed him to start buying from China and Australia instead.
I don't want to buy products from the US because of the strength of the US dollar. So it's a really odd time where US dollar here is insanely strong, but like in the US, it's crazy. Go over there and you're like, fuck me, a coffee is like $7. So what's happening is export and import in and out of the US is grinding to a halt because there's like a factorial on what I'm paying for a fucking t-shirt. So I'm just going to go to China or Australia.
