This One Principle Will Make You Successful

Matt Ryder argues that fixing one problem at a time is the key to sales success. He emphasizes mastering the sales opener as the single most important skill to improve your overall performance.
There's a great book called the Hard Thing about Hard Things. And the synopsis is the hard thing about hard things is only fixing one thing at a time. And I think it's the most important thing that salespeople or business people have to learn is that, like, the discipline comes in seeing 10 things that are wrong, but only fixing one, really fixing one, and then fixing the second. Because, like, if I'm trying to fix someone's sales and like, let's just say their openers are really bad, and then they also, the middle of their script needs tweaking. This. If I tweak all those things at once, I do not know what did it. So what I have to do is just tweak the opener. Because the opener is like the top of the pyramid, right? If that angle is. It's good. The angle is. Why? Because then, like, everyone will get down if it's bad, you're going to knock a bunch of people out because you have a shitty opener, right? You know, so, like, your opener is, like, incredibly important, especially for, like, final expense. If you just spend three months becoming the best at your opener and do nothing else but focus on that, you will make five times the cash because, like, you will have five times the people that hear your pitch.
