Matthew Ryder explains how triage systems work in sales: leads get sorted and routed to the right sales reps based on client profiles so pitches land better. It's about matching the person to the prospect.
A triage is sort of a coaching based mechanism, you know what I mean? So triage means to sort of like figure out importance, right? And the reason why it was called that is because like essentially when you're getting a lot of lead flowing through and you're trying to figure out where people should go, let's say you have multi tiered products and services. Now, we don't necessarily always want to pitch the same thing. When I pitch what's most appropriate to the client, we might have different sales reps or different caliber of sales reps selling different things. So what we do is we put in a triage, so they might go through, speak to a person, they might, it might be an SDR and isr. And then from there they figure out, based on the avatar of the client, what product would be most appropriate. And then from there they send them to the department that has the reps that can sell that product. So that we're not pitching multiple things. We're being nice and clear and concise and making sure that we're not being confusing with what it is we're pitching by having 45 different, you know, products that one person can sell.
