Two people discuss Indexed Universal Life insurance and how it can protect your finances and provide retirement income. IUL lets you tie returns to market indexes while keeping a guaranteed floor, so you don't lose money in downturns.
Why is an IUL a good thing? Like why would someone benefit from it?
To give them security. Like a lot of people that are more risk averse. They don't like checking the 401k, their IRA, whatever it is, and seeing it all up and down all the time. IUL gives them that protection. You know, it's going to be there long term. Therefore they feel less stress in the present time.
Yeah, like if I'm someone who's younger, like retirement planning, chances are you're doing capital growth. When you're older, you're doing cash. Right. You want to be able to pull out income from it. I don't care about income. I make enough money. Right. So everything's just going to build it so that when I do retire, what do I have? An income? Why do I want that? Because I don't want to pull from the wealth that I've managed to create over my life. Because I want to be able to give that to my kids. There are just flow ons and consequences. And I think like it's a really important thing to think about the prospects that you're speaking to, what problems they have and what you solve. A lot of people don't understand their products enough to really understand how they solve the problem.
