Matthew Ryder explains why most salespeople burn out in insurance. He says success comes down to understanding your prospects, having a solid script, and following a repeatable process. Most people skip these basics and wonder why they don't last.
Most salespeople don't last very long in any industry, insurance especially, because most people just don't really want to do what's required to be successful. But what they don't realize is that it's the same thing that's required to be successful in every other field of sales. Understand your prospects, understand your products, have a really well thought out way that you're going to deliver that information. Have a script, work on it, have some data to make sure you can get better and better and better. And then have process do as much of the heavy lifting as you can and try and minimize as many variables as you can so that when you do go to problem solve, not random chaos, having that deep understanding just makes those conversations way better and it really shorts the learning curve.
