This is a YouTube video titled "Why You Need to Track Your Calls📞 | Matthew Ryder" containing a monologue by Matt Ryder recorded in December 2023. In this video, Matt Ryder explains the sales process focusing on the importance of tracking call metrics such as dials, pickups, and conversations to improve sales outcomes.
Got the sales process. It's kind of described to all the decisions that have to be made. So we've got new digital leads. For example, 500 dials, 50 pickups. What are the things that can affect the pickup? It's going to be local area dialing. If you're dialing somebody in New York and you have an LA number, they're probably not going to pick up. Time of day, double dialing. So are you double dialing or not? Lead, volume and frequency. If you got eight leads, you're doing 500 dials and speed to lead. Once they pick up, then like what happens? Because a lot of people are just going like pick up how many bookings? It's not really the whole story. So from pickup, they can tell you to go away. They can have a conversation with you or they can go to voicemail. The reason why you want to track that is because if you have a really low conversation rate, your opener sucks. Like, if you scream like a wookie, a lot of people are going to tell you to go away. So instead of like desperately trying to figure out how to handle every objection, just really work on your opener. Then speak to more people. And even if you're terrible, you'll have a far better flow through because like you have more people at the beginning.
