The speaker emphasizes self-responsibility, setting clear goals, and following through; mentorship or coaches are useful only after the individual commits and acts.

You don't need a new mentor. You need to look in the mirror. Right? You're out there chasing changes, trying to find the next thing that's going to make you successful, like. But what you lack is accountability and consequences. Discipline is a requirement for success. It just isn't. A mentor is not going to give it to you. You can go out there, you can chase TikTok, you can hire as many people as you want. It's not going to make you do the things required or even go through the course in a way that makes sense or even start applying any of it anyway. Right? Right. If you're someone who's overweight and you're like, I know what I need, I need an online fitness coach. If you actually do it, they say yes, right? But if you don't, it's all useless. Put yourself in a position where you understand your goals, what you want, why you want it, because nobody's coming to fix any of that for you. No one's coming to the rescue. You have to want to do it yourself and actually, like, do the things. Then when you're in that position, going out and getting encouraged is a great idea.
