A salesperson's commission is capped by their own skills, not by leads or offers. Every call is a performance: your voice, your script delivery, your objection handling. If commissions stall, you're not developing.

Your commission checks aren't stuck. Your skills are. You're sitting there and you're like blaming the leads and thinking like, oh, this and this, when in reality, yes, some of that stuff is outside of your control and none of it might be your fault, but it is certainly your problem. And the one thing that you can control is your skill set. The one thing that every single sales call that you have has in common is it's you doing it. It's like you're performing the script. You're using your voice to get your point across. You're the one objection handling. You are the one who is ultimately in control as to whether or not people see the value proposition of whatever you're giving. Okay? Sales is one of the only things where like you have such a tangible ability to increase your income potential, it's not even funny. So if your pay hasn't changed, if you've been stuck at a particular level of like commission or income and you're not doing anything to progress your skills, then instead of whinging and bitching and like offer hopping around and try and find the next best thing, just look inwardly, focus on yourself and say, what am I doing to really get better?
