Matthew Ryder explains why you should be the one selling insurance to everyone you know. He covers how to leverage your network for referrals and build your client list through personal connections.
Everyone in your network should have insurance from you, right? Your parents should definitely have insurance from you. You should definitely have insurance from you, because you still get the coms on certain carriers. So you're getting insurance. Your first year is like, what, 70% off. Your network should all go through you. If you've got 20 people in your tight group, there should be 20 sales immediately. Then from there, we make the 250 list. We kind of go a little bit broader, and then we start to do that, and that's where we kind of add our clients to that as we go, and that's where our client list comes from. With your client list, like, you really want to have as much information as you can. Just send them little things, you know what I mean? And then that's how you start to create referrals. Because, like, if someone's my insurance broker, there's no reason why I can't refer them to my friends because I'm happy with their service. There's no reason why I wouldn't want my friends to have the same level of protection that I do.
