AI will be a co-pilot for planners, not the pilot. It handles data and analysis, but planners keep the final call, especially when things go wrong or unexpected. The real skill is managing what AI can't predict.
My thought is, my thought is planners are definitely going to be the decision maker. In fact, I would like to give an analogy that AI would continue to be more like a copilot, right? It will give you data, it will give you analysis, etc. But at the end of the day, it's human which will continue to be on the pilot seat driving it. So not just supervisors, I think the decision making in terms of the exception management is what is going to be the key role of planners.
