Two speakers argue AI's rise is unstoppable and businesses must act now. They push integrated ERP ecosystems that connect AI to company data across departments, warning that siloed functions create problems downstream. I have to say, indeed, we live in an age whereby I think the train of AI will not be reversed, meaning that it will go on, it will go on faster, it will go on quicker. And I think we do have to board the train. We do have to improvise and modify the train as it speeds up and making sure that we are getting the most out of it. My takeaway is that an integrated ecosystem is definitely necessary. I think in this age and time, we do have to fully leverage and take full advantage of what this technology is able to bring to us. And beyond that, extend through customizable solutions that we could extract the very solid foundation that we already have from a database and the quality of data point of view that already resides within the ERP environment and make the most of it. Whether is it analytics, whether is it automation of processes, whether is it making sure that we provide very targeted actions related to outcome of analytics. And at the end of the day, even customized programmable solutions that enable each department to build further solutions for our customers, right? I believe right now, as I witness it myself, that can be done all through the prowess of AI. And the fact that MCP exists right now to connect the large language model with the ERP, in fact, it opens my eyes to see where the future could hold.
And what value we could extract out from a solid ERP base. It's really our businesses are living, breathing organisms, and we cannot silo individual portions of our business and say that— and when we have problem statements, right, from individual departments or teams, it doesn't mean that those problem statements only exist and can only be solved for that team because you are actually just kicking the issue upstream or downstream and somebody else has to pick up the slack if you don't have an integrated ecosystem that actually communicates with one another.
