To gain real visibility, stop speaking only in your functional jargon and show up in strategic decision-making forums where senior leaders operate. Being the person they seek out for choices matters more than talking the most in every meeting.
Are you communicating in a business language, not only your functional language? Are you present in decision forums and not only in the execution forums? So senior leaders should be saying that I need Chandranath as a part of this discussion. So we have to create the forum in such a way that people remember our name when those decisions are taken and we are really wanted in those decision forums. So that is true visibility for me, not speaking in every meeting and speaking the most out of everybody.
