Planning protects people and businesses, not just spreadsheets. The speaker has worked across retail, pharma, gas, and telecom managing large-scale forecasts and aligning teams on single numbers. He holds degrees in economics and mathematics, a Schulich supply chain master's, CSCP certification, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
That work has taught me one thing before anything else. Planning is not a spreadsheet exercise. It's a discipline that protects people and protects businesses. From there, I moved across many industries— retail, pharma, gas, and now telecom. And this is where I learned forecast accuracy at scale, promotional seasonality, and the politics of getting a buyer, a category manager, and an operator to agree on one number. Behind all of that, I have a degree in economics and mathematics, a master's in supply chain from Schulich, a CSCP, Python that I never used, and this is important for our session today, and a Lean Six Sigma black belt.
