If Your Bio Says This... It's Costing You Clients

In this short video, Melissa Dlugolecki (Speaker A) explains a common marketing mistake made by women‑empowerment coaches. She observes that many coaches describe their services in terms of abstract, “root‑cause” language—e.g., helping women feel empowered or do energetic work—while their ideal clients talk about concrete, everyday “symptoms” such as lack of confidence, feeling stuck, or not knowing how to manifest their dream life. Because the coach’s bio speaks the coach’s language rather than the client’s, potential customers don’t recognize the relevance and the coach loses business. Dlugolecki advises coaches to flip their messaging: focus on the symptoms and pain points that prospects actually voice, and then subtly guide them toward the deeper transformation. By aligning the bio and marketing copy with the client’s vocabulary, coaches can attract more clients and avoid the costly mismatch.
