Welcome to the Detox Detox Deep Dive. Let me share my screen so I can show you what I have here. Okay. All right. Okay. So Detox Deep Dive and let me know questions. I am checking it. Awesome. So, hi, Rosie. Thank you. Ok, perfect. Okay, this is going to be super fun. All right, so. So now I'm going to go through this. I have some great information. So let me just get started. I'm going to teach you seven spices, seven foods, and the detox framework today. And really what I say that this detox phase does is it purifies your body and banishes inflammation so you're as clean as a baby. And that's what we're doing. We're using special spices, special foods to really detoxify our body in a very natural way. So one question I want to answer right away is that I know that a lot of times people ask me if it's safe to detox, say that you're nursing or say that you are, you know, anything else like that. We are detoxing in the most natural way. There are so many nursing women that have gone through this, and everything is totally safe. We're not using those ingredients like, we're not using artificial ingredients. We're not starving ourselves. The beauty of detox in Spice Yourself Skinny is that you're actually learning to eat real foods and natural spices, and your body is still. It's not getting as inflamed as it was before. You're going to see increased digestion. You're just improving your body. You're up, leveling your body. Ok. All right. So perfect. Okay, so let me just see that everything is all good here. Ok. So I want to go over really quick the Spice Yourself Skinny framework. And you're going to be going through this in the eight weeks of Spice Yourself Skinny. I know that you're probably familiar with this before you actually joined, but I just want to go over it with you just so you know what to expect and what's ahead. Okay, so the detox phase that's Right now, it's 14 days each week. In each phase, I would like for you to have a cheat day one day a week. And I actually want you to have cupcakes and cookies and waffles and chips, whatever it may be, so you can get it out of your system on that day. And it makes it just so much more realistic for you to stay on track the rest of the days of the week. And naturally, what's going to happen is after you have your first cheat day, maybe your second, you're going to start realizing how that food makes you feel compared to the food that you're eating during the regular week. And sometimes you actually end up loving how you feel during the regular week. And so it becomes easy to manage your portions. It becomes easy to not binge on junk food because you realize what it's doing to your body. And so it is important to have that contrast. And that way it's your choice on what you eat. You're not just eating food because it's in front of you. We're going to talk about tasting our food more and eating things that you actually want to eat, not just because it's in front of you, because it actually tastes good. And during the week, when you're making your menu plans and when you're prepping and all of that, this food is just going to make your body feel amazing and you're going to want to give yourself that gift. Ok, so. All right, so let me see. All right, so the detox phase, two weeks. Then we're going to go into the debloat phase in a little bit where we're going to change up the spices and the foods and it's going to have a focus on decrease in water retention and really, like, really popping the bloat. But every phase of this, you're going to be eating. I'm going to. Every phase of this, you're going to be eating really, like, really healthy foods. So you're learning how to eat sustainably, but you're adding in these different ingredients which actually, like, they just activate certain parts. And when they build on each other, you really see that weight loss happening. So detox, cleaning things out, debloat, popping that bloat. The be burn phase is where you're going to actually add in some more fat, burning spices, some more foods that accelerate your metabolism and that decrease your appetite, and that's really how you burn the fat. And so these are the three key phases that I really want you to stay focused on because this is when you get your eating right. And we know that eating is 80% of our weight loss. So. So then after you get that right, we're going to move into the B tone phase. And I have two more weeks of recipes for you, which are actually bonus recipes. When I first started Spice Yourself Skiing, I didn't even have recipes. I only had workouts. But there was such a demand for more recipes that I built it in and it's built into the program now. So these are more recipes that you get. And you can also start adding some exercise in if you like, if you can. I think it's great to add in a little bit just as much as you can. So think about that in two week Spurts. Think about Size Yourself skinny in two week, like sprints. And it makes it easier to manage it too if you're like, let me do this for these two weeks. Okay, Reset. Let me do this for these two weeks. Okay, so. Hi, Monica. How are you? Oh, my God, I'm so glad that you're here. Wow. Awesome, awesome, awesome. Check it out. I have something coming up. Okay. Monica doesn't even know, but I have something. So this is how things start coming off. And plus, this is so fun because you're going to be learning new spices, you're going to be learning new foods during each phase. They're all natural, healthy foods. So a couple quick FAQs I want to answer first thing. A lot of people say that they eat healthy foods before joining Spice or Self Skinny or you eat spices before joining Spice Yourself Skinny. So the thing is you do, but you have to. A lot of times we eat extra things in the day, like say, cookies and chips or things in the break room or things that our kids left out. And that's where everything really adds up. So when you keep yourself full and satisfied with the foods from Spice Yourself Skinny, you actually don't have that much of a desire to eat other things. And that's why it's the framework of Spice Yourself Skinny is really, really just like kind of like a life change because you actually are going to see yourself not having cravings as much because you're keeping yourself satisfied. And that's really key. As for the spices, you want to add the right quantities that I recommend in the recipes and you have to combine it with the natural foods that I share with you in both the recipes and the meal framework. Then the other FAQ I get a lot is, okay, I didn't start in week one or I didn't get started right away. What should I do? How do I start? Okay, it's absolutely okay. No worries. You just want to get started as soon as you can. So maybe you start a week late. And often we do have a group of women that usually start about a week after because sometimes the first week you just, there's things that, there's reasons that you weren't able to just go grocery shopping and do everything right away. So what you want to do is start with week one. Whenever you start, start with week one and if you ever have to take a break, come back and pick up where you left off. You don't have to like join in to where everyone is. You can just do own pace. And if you actually want to repeat a week, you can do that too. You're going to lose weight. Even if you mix and match these phases, it's great to do it the way that I've laid it out. But even if you mix and match, you'll still lose weight because the essence of the menu plans, the foods, the nutritional components of it, the spices, they're all going to help you lose weight and they're going to taste amazing. All right, so I want to get focused on detox. So what is detox? And I write all of this in the menu plan. So it's right in the beginning. I have a lot of kind of information to give you some background about each thing. So detox, it's a 14 day period of time where you abstain from or rid your body of toxic or unhealthy substances. There will be one cheat day where you can eat whatever you want each week, preferably day six and day 13, which is like the Saturdays, but you can move it by a day if needed. But you want to try to stay consistent with that cheat day. And you can expect to lose 2 to 6 pounds or 1 to 3 kilos during the phase, during the 14 day phase by following the guidelines. Now, some women lose more and that's amazing, and some women lose less, but everyone has different bodies and everyone's starting from a different place. So you just do you and be really happy with what you're doing. Even if you lose a pound or two. That's incredible. That's a pound or two more than you were. That's a pound or two more that you lost, you know, than a couple weeks ago. And if it's more than that, then that's great too. Sometimes there's an initial big weight loss when you change your eating and then it stabilizes over time. Okay, now the purpose of detox is to decrease inflammation, increase digestion, so food is moving through your body more quickly and easier and flush out toxins and impurities from your body. So you're just literally cleaning out your body and you're setting the foundation for when we're going to start deep bloating. And then when you're going to start increasing metabolism, burning more fat, you're just, you're creating a very good foundation. Okay, now I want to show you a little bit of results after detox. Because it really does work. Jyoti, who is a sister, who is a spice yourself, skinny sister, she said two days done on sys. And she said she tried every diet possible. Some gave her a headache, some that 3pm slump at work, and some left her hungry. Grabbing something from the pantry. This is the first time she's not craving anything. All the meals are wholesome, satisfying and delicious. I feel light and look forward to enjoying every bite. And she says that it's not a special diet. Her family's enjoying the salad, which is the Brain Power Salad, the thigh thinning curry, and she even gave the smoked paprika detox dinner bowl a shot. And it was amazing. And her guests are enjoying the detox water. So the thing about this is it works. You're going to feel lighter, you're going to feel nicer, and you're going to be able to share these recipes with your loved ones. I mean, I love how Jyoti actually has she. I love how Jyoti has a. How she. She puts the detox water on her counter. That's so. That's so incredible. It's like she just shares it with guests, you know? So really quick, let me just, let me just see what's. What's going on here. Okay? So she literally just puts it on her. She just keeps it out. And it's so luxurious tasting that it doesn't feel like you're on a diet. Like a smoked paprika detox bowl, which is in week one and it's in week two. It's actually in both weeks of detox because I show you different cooking methods, and it's such a popular dish that I wanted to show you how to make it even easier week by week. Okay, so, so you have to try the TTC or the thigh thinning curry, if you can, and the Brain Power Salad. Those are three of the favorites from Detox and from week one. Now, why should you detox to lose weight? I'm going to go over this quickly. This is also in your menus. But a lot of people, they associate detox with deprivation. But the Sys detox, it's full of flavorful, cleansing spices, filling, delicious and healthy foods. And if you struggle to lose weight in the past, or if you feel like you could be addicted to sugar, this is going to change. You're going to start to experience a transformation. Ok? And the foods you eat during this detox period, they're specifically combined to cleanse and decrease inflammation in your body, making it so much easier for your body to drop unwanted weight to during this and future phases. You're going to use really body cleansing spices that I'm going to go over and whole processed, low sugar foods that I'm going to go over too. Okay. All right, so here's Monica. Monica, I believe you're on. So this is awesome. I wanted to show you. I want to just inspire you by what happens when you actually follow spice yourself. Skinny. Now check out Monica. Look at this hottie. Look at what she's done to herself. She is amazingly transformed. I mean, this is so incredible. So she followed the four phases of sys. She started with detox, then she went to d bloat, b burn, and betone. And what she loved about sys was the spices and supportive community in sys. The coaching that kept her accountable. And I want to let you know that it's important for you to give to the community because the more you give, the more you get. And what that means in terms of giving is just posting what you're doing, showing pictures of what you're doing, sharing your experience. It makes it more fun. Fun. And it does make it more accountable. And I actually have an interview with Monica right on this page. Right on my. I have one on an interview with her on my masala body.com Facebook page. And Monica talks about how it keeps her accountable, the group keeps her accountable. So even after she's finished eight weeks, she still wants to post and she still wants to, you know, let people know what she's doing. And so she's actually going to keep going even after the eight weeks so she can continue reaching her goals. And I just think that's so, so key. All right, so great job. Great. And yes. Oh, great. And aga says taking pictures is fun. Yes. It's so fun to take pictures of your food. You can take a picture of yourself. You can take a picture of the spices. And you know what? Your food does not have to look like magazine beautiful. No, we're talking about real life food here. And if you see in the menus, I have so many pictures of sys sisters that have shared their pictures of their food. And it's like it's normal food. So we're talking about being realistic, not being perfect, and really just trying to make things as you can. Okay. Oh, my gosh. Michelle says I'm down £5 since Monday start. Wow. Michelle Gambino. That is awesome. Oh, my God. I'm so. That is so incredible. See, it's like, keep it up. What your body will do. It will Happen. But you want to stay focused on it. You want to keep trying and just literally having fun with this. Okay? Now also, I want to show you Monica's husband. So Monica lost £15. But as we've seen and as we've been talking about, we heard that from Jyoti, too, just down that testimonial above. This is a family affair. I mean, other people in your family and other people in your life, they won't even realize this is diet food because it tastes so good. And that's just key to weight loss because you don't have to do it by yourself. You can do it by yourself if you want. And if that's like, if you, if you want to do it, if it makes sense for you to do it, if you're on your own, that's perfectly fine. But we have the group as accountability, and you may also have someone in your life as accountability. And having that accountability and keeping creating a lifestyle around Spice Yourself skinny is really, really important because you don't want it to be like something that you're doing only in the corner by your for eight weeks. You want to bring it into your life, and that's how you get a lifestyle shift. So look at Monica's husband, Isidro. He looks amazing. Congratulations to you, Monica, and to your husband. Thank you for inspiring us in sys. And you look super hot, so keep it up. Okay, so now I want to go through the detox spices, foods to eat and foods to avoid. This is in your menu, so you can take a look at it. It's going to be. It's in week one, and it's also in week two, which is now up. So I'm going to actually go through some of these spices in a little bit of detail. But I just want to do this overview. Seven detox spices. I have more than seven detox foods, but these are the main seven detox foods that really are there to help detoxify your body, clean it out, reduce inflammation. I just want to let you know that I have added these foods into the recipes, but there's other foods that are also part of the overall framework of Spice Yourself Skinny, and really the framework of how to eat to lose weight and how to eat to keep it off. So if you follow my recipes or you follow the framework that I'm going to share with you, that you've seen, I'm going to share with you here in this training as well. You're going to see that you're learning how to eat, and then these Added ingredients of each phase. It just adds in that extra element of detox or deep bloat or B burn or B tons. Okay. And now we have anti detox foods. So these are really key. And this is sometimes I was talking about those extra things that sometimes we eat. Like maybe you're eating healthy, but you're grabbing some of this and grabbing some of that. Those are the things we want to say no to during this two weeks. And you're not really going to have a need for it as much because you're going to be eating so many foods that are satisfying you and that are filling you up. And you should be eating foods you should be eating the amounts that are keeping you satisfied. Not hungry. I don't want you to feel hungry. I didn't lose £40 being hungry. I lost £40 by feeling satisfied and feeling indulgent and loving what I was eating. And that's why it was possible for someone like me who loves and thrives off of food to actually lose it. So, okay, alright. So processed foods, especially those processed snacks, like if you have those processed snacks in the vending machine or any bars, there's some bars that you could use which are called Quest bars. Those are the only bars I would say to bring with you. Like say if you're traveling or if you have nothing else. Those are Quest protein bars. Other than that, try to stay away from processed food. Bring snacks with you. Actually, Monica was telling me that she brings like nuts, hummus, celery to work with her and she just has it in the fridge so she knows to go to that. And there may be a donut in the break room, maybe she'll break off a bite, but she's not going to eat the whole thing. And sometimes she doesn't even want to break off a bite. So when you bring your own snacks with you, you don't have to grab for the processed foods. It's all about getting prepared. So anti detox foods also are sugar, dairy, such as milk, cream, most cheeses. So this is key because dairy actually causes inflammation. And so now the only exception to this is if you are vegetarian, you can have some more cheese for a protein source. But in general you want to. And cottage cheese is actually okay and so is Greek yogurt, because the way that they're processed and they're pasteurized, but other than that, bring down the dairy, keep it at a minimum and just know the reason is because it actually causes inflammation and you're going to see a tremendous weight loss from this shift ok. And let me know if you take dairy out and it wasn't out before. And if you see a weight loss like, tell me what's happening to you. Okay. Store bought salad dressing. And I'm going over this in detail because these are the things like if you take it out, you make it so much easier for yourself. Store bought salad dressing, why? Because it's full of sugar and it's a ton of oil. And I'm teaching you delicious dressings in spice yourself. Skinny. And you can just take, you can practice one or two of them and that can just be your go to dressing. Or you don't have to use dressing. You can use balsamic vinegar, which is really easy, or you can use salsa as your dressing. Okay. Red meat for this phase, we're going to bring it back later. But red meat for this phase is you want to keep it out. And then alcohol, definitely for detox, it's something you want to keep out. You can have it on cheat day. If you do have alcohol on other days, it's fine. It's just that it's not like you can't have it. It's not like you wipe out everything. You'll still experience the benefits, but it'll just be a little slower. Okay. So just know that. So say, okay, if you're going to have a glass of wine or a couple glasses of wine, it's not going to erase all the benefits. No, but it's going to just slow it down a little bit. But maybe it's okay for you because you'd rather have that glass of wine or that cocktail and that's absolutely fine. You just make these trade offs along the way. Okay, so the seven detox spices. All right. Yay. Okay, so everybody, hello. Hello. Hello. All right, so let me just really quick, let me just do something really quick. So I want you to just take a look at this actually because I'm going to go over it pretty quickly. Okay. Okay. So all right. Perfect. So all right. So ginger. So this is. These are the seven detox spices. I just want to go over a little bit of detail about why they're in here. I'm going to go over this pretty quickly because they're all in here for a reason. There's actually research behind each of these and there's health benefits that help each of these spices detoxify your body. So ginger. Now first of all, ginger increases digestion. So that's a key thing that ginger does. And when you increase digestion, you move food through your body. And that is going to help you detoxify your body, because you're not like, keeping food in there. You're moving it out and having it do go about the normal course. Now, in addition to increasing fat loss, it also helps you feel satiated or full, and that in turn reduces food consumption. And this also works as a natural appetite suppressant, which is amazing. It's like you eat and you don't feel that extra need to eat more than you need to eat. So mint, we've talked about. Oh, my gosh, we love mint. I'm going to be. We have the flat tummy water recipe, which is in the bonus recipes. So please try that out. You can try. I mean, I have the detox water for you to try out. And then also you can go to the bonus recipes for the flat tummy water, which has mint, it has cucumber, it has lemon. It's amazing to flatten your tummy. And we'll be talking more about that even in the deep phase. But for mint, it relaxes your stomach muscle. It increases bile flow, which is like increasing. It increases the breakdown of fats. That's what bile is. It increases that flow and it improves your digestion of fat. And then mint also has another benefit, which is it helps to decrease your sugar cravings and manage your eating so you don't overeat as much. So that's kind of another bonus. But in terms of the detoxifying elements and the benefits, it improves your digestion of fats. Now, basil is another really nice spice that we have in the detox phase. So you do see some recipes with that, and that contains essential oils, and these help in reducing inflammation. Okay. So we're focusing on inflammation, we're focusing on digestion, we're focusing on detoxifying your body here. Okay. Hi, Marianne. Hi, Aga, Michelle, Monica. Nice to see all of you. Oh, my gosh. So excited that you're here. Okay, turmeric now, turmeric. We know if you've seen any of my videos or any of my cooking demonstrations, I talk about how turmeric helps you mitigate the inflammation associated with fat storage and gives you a boost in fat burning. This is so key. So we're going to have a turmeric broth that was actually on. That's supposed to be for Thursday night. So that's tonight. If you were able to make that. It's amazing. Okay. I also have turmeric sprinkled throughout and other things, and then cayenne pepper. So this is the one of this. Well, the next two are actually spicy spices. So you can start slowly with the spicy spices or you don't even have to have them. It's okay. But if you like it, it actually helps you burn calories and you can actually build up a tolerance. It's like, it's. You know how when there's those things, like you have to have a. You have to build up a taste for it. Well, that's how spicy spices are. You start really slow and you can actually build a tolerance to it. So it can actually happen. So then the thing is that it helps you burn more calories because it's increasing your metabolism. And then if you actually eat this for a long time, then sometimes your body gets used to it so you don't get all the benefits as you do in the very beginning. So if you haven't eaten cayenne pepper or eaten spicy spices, try to add in a little bit and you're going to actually notice some faster change. If you've been eating it, just maybe add what you like. Make it spice it up so that you can taste it maybe a little bit more, but don't make it too spicy. So it's overwhelming. Ok. So, all right, so red chili powder, this increases the flavor without adding sugar and calories, and it can promote healthy weight loss. And so this is a lot of the things that this spice as well as other spices do, they actually add more flavor. And instead of using so much salt as well, they replace the salt. And so they also decrease your need for sugar because you have taste from something else. So what red chili powder does is it just like increases your. Increases the flavor, it adds taste, and it literally is cleaning out your body because of the spice and cayenne pepper and red chili powder, just to tell you the difference, red chili powder is spicier than cayenne pepper and red chili powder. Sometimes you can find that really in ethnic stores, but if you can't find it, you can just use cayenne pepper. It's totally fine. And if you want a milder version of any of these, you can try paprika. Okay, now, smoked paprika is the seventh detox spice. And this one is not spicy at all. It's just a great flavor. And I actually have one of my most loved dishes is the smoked paprika detox bowl. And, and so one daily teaspoon of the spice can help you lose three times as much body fat. And it's just really, really delicious. Okay. And I actually had a post that I put up today where I said TTC lovers, SPD lovers, which is the Smoked Paprika Detox Bowl Triple S, which is the Skinny Salivating Stew, which is the one with turmeric or BNB salad, which is the Blueberry Mint Brain Power Salad. So let me know, comment below. Which one of those do you love? Ttc, SPD Triple S, bmb. I have another post that spells it all out if you need to hear that. That says it all out. But let me know what is your favorite and that's how you're kind of like stepping into these spices because I have different ones in every single one of those. Ok, I want to go over the meal framework with you and this is really key because I want you to make the recipes because they're delicious and they're also just easy. If things are planned out for you, you're going to start to learn some of your favorites. And over time what's going to happen is that you won't need to make all new recipes every week. You'll know which ones you like and it'll become really systematic and really easy and literally mindless and your weight will come off and stay off. Ok, but this is something that I want you to keep in mind because you don't have to cook the recipes all the time. And even if you don't want to ever cook the recipes, you don't. Or you could cook a couple couple here and but this is the key framework and this is what the meals are built on that you're eating right now. So if you want to put things together on your own, you absolutely can. Ok. So, hey Larissa, nice to see you. Marianne says bnb. So the BNB salad, awesome. Yes. That blueberry brain power salad is amazing. Blueberry mint brain power salad. So what I want you to do, I'm going to go over this because I want you to keep this in mind. There's going to be days where you didn't have time to cook. Maybe you are at work, you didn't have time to bring your food. So now you kind of know what to order. Order it around this framework. When you go out to eat, keep this framework in mind. So the pre breakfast, pre breakfast, right when you wake up, hydrate your body with the morning water. So this is really the meal framework for any phase. But you know, it's great if you can have the detox water or you can just have lemon water. So breakfast, I have a few options here. So you can either have a morning smoothie or a morning smoothie would have Protein powder or Greek yogurt in it to give it the protein. I'm really focusing on you having protein in your breakfast or if you the morning. Or what you could do is you could have the. Or you could have eggs, so you could have morning smoothie or you could have eggs with a smoothie if you don't want to have the protein powder in it. So your protein source would be the eggs. So the smoothie plus eggs. Or if you don't want to do the smoothie, you could do two eggs plus some egg whites. I like to have a half a cup of liquid egg whites. And then you can either you can make that like a scrambled eggs or an omelet with any veggies that you like, which I think that's really great. And then you can have a half cup fruit or 1 cup vegetables like broccol on the side. So it's really like the smoothie, the smoothie plus eggs or the eggs plus egg whites plus a half cup fruit. And really quick. Also I talked about the eggs being scrambled or being in an omelet. But what you can do is you can also get hard boiled eggs if you don't have time. So you just grab two hard boiled eggs and then you only eat the egg whites from two of them. So you have four eggs, two with the yolks, two without the O. Okay. And that's another way for when you're quick and on the go and you can hard boil your eggs ahead of time on a Sunday for the entire week and refrigerate them or you can buy them already boiled and peeled, which is what I do for those weeks that I'm kind of like here and there and I don't have time. All right, let me know if you have any questions about this so that I can tell you. Ok. Oh, and Larissa says she lost six pounds since I met you. Oh my God. I love how you said that six pound sign. Oh my God. Amazing. Congratulations, Larissa. I'm so happy. That makes me super happy. Ok, so lunch, what you want to do is have a lean meat like lean beef. So lean beef is 90%, like 90% lean or more lean chicken, turkey or fish, eggs or tofu. And plus a vegetables plus side of vegetables, a healthy side of vegetables, plus a healthy carb. And a healthy carb is sweet potato, quinoa and my favorites, beans and lentils or Ezekiel bread. So that's kind of your three part framework for lunch. You want to have the protein, the vegetables and the healthy carb. Ok. And then for dinner you're going to have protein plus vegetables plus a healthy fat. And healthy fat is coconut oil, avocado or almonds. Those are examples. You could have had a salmon. If you have salmon for dinner, that's actually a healthy fat in itself. So you really need just salmon and vegetables. That's a dinner. So that's how you mix it up. Let me know if you have any questions about this framework because I want you to be clear. Once you have this framework in mind, it's so easy to follow it. You can make the recipes or you can follow the framework or you can do a little bit of both. And then before bed, if you're feeling a craving for something else, have some more of the infused water that you've already made and refrigerated or have some lemon water or have some fire tea. That's amazing. Fire tea at night. Oh my God. You're gonna just, your cravings are gonna go away. And your fire tea recipe is in your bonus recipes. The bonus, the bonus recipes tab on Spice Yourself Skinny. And then also you wanna add one phase specific spice and or food for each meal. So you could pick one. It could be mint or it could be ginger. It be could smoked paprika, it could be turmeric, you could just sprinkle it on. It could be different ones or it could be the same one. Try to sprinkle it on. Okay. And that's it. So portion size for lunch and dinner please. Okay, so portion size. Okay. So one thing is that we're not super focused on portion sizes in Spice Yourself Skinny because it's more about the foods that you're eating are so nutrition packed and actually really low calorie. But they're so filling because of the foods that I've recommended for you that you really don't have to worry too much about. Portions I really like want you to focus on, I want you to focus on eating till you're just a little bit less than full and that's it. Okay, I am going to give you some guidelines if that's easier. But you don't have to go with portion sizes. It's like really about having these three components on your food for like lunch and dinner and breakfast, having the protein in there, protein with fruit or protein with vegetables. So in general for your sizes, for your portion sizes, for your protein, I want you to have around 5, maybe 6 ounces, 5 to 6 ounces of protein. And then also I want you to have really a half a cup of lentils Or. Or a fourth. A cup. Like half a cup of lentils or beans for lunch or a half a cup. I mean, sorry, a quarter cup of quinoa or sweet potato, because the carbs are actually different. So if you can decrease that a little bit for the healthy fat, I want you to have one tablespoon of those. So, like, one tablespoon of coconut oil or half an avocado or 14 almonds. All right, so let me know if that's helpful and. Okay. Yes, Larissa. And don't. Yes, exactly. If you don't want to do portions, you don't need to do portions at this stage. You're eating such amazing food, and that's really what's important. And how do I take my spices with me? I guess I should bring my cheat sheet until I learn what goes with what. I mean, you can. So I have recommended. You don't need to do portions at this stage. You're eating such amazing food, and that's really what's important. And how do I take my spices with me? I guess I should bring my cheat sheet until I learn what goes with what. I mean, you can. So I have recommended the spice bullet. Let me know if you know of that link, because I can post it into Spice yourself Skinny into the sisterhood. But I use this bullet. Next time I do a training, I'll try to remember to bring my spice bullet with me so I can show you. But what we're doing. So what you do is, like, I usually put cinnamon and cayenne in it because cinnamon goes. Even though it's not a detox spice, it's really easy to bring with you, and it goes with everything. So it's, like, so good for coffee and if you get a smoothie or something like that. But I'll talk about that. Actually, you should make your own smoothies instead of ordering smoothies out, because smoothies, when you order out, are packed with sugar. They just always are. So cinnamon, cayenne, you could bring black pepper. I actually have somebody that just brings a cinnamon container with her, and you could just choose one or two spices. Maybe you could just bring turmeric with you for detox if you want to do that. Okay, so. All right. Awesome. How long does the infused water refrigerate for? So, Larissa, it usually refrigerates for about four days, and that's when the. Like, what you can do is you can actually put all the ingredients in it, and then you can just keep refilling it, and. But after about four days, you Start noticing that your other, like, what you're infusing the water with starts going a little bit bad. And so when you notice that, that's when you want to change it out. It could be. It's around four days. Sometimes it can be be five days, but you can just keep refilling it. So that's why usually on the menus, I have the water, it lasts for four days, and then I have, like, a simpler water for the other three days, because in case you don't want to remake it. Okay, so the seven detox foods, I want to go over this with you. So these are the things to add to your food because you are. They're the things to add to your food because you are. It's giving you those benefits of cleaning your body, decreasing inflammation. It's pairing with the spices. So you're getting that overall effect of detoxifying your body. So lemon is really great. That's why I have it in the detox water. That's why I recommend lemon water. It cleanses your body. It helps purify the blood and balance the PH level of your colon, which is where your digestion is happening. It also helps to boost your immunity. So that's really key. And a lime is similar. It's. It's so flavorful. It has only 11 calories. And it really just makes your water taste a little different, a little tangier, and it has cleansing elements to it. Okay, I have pineapple. So I have an avocado pineapple smoothie, which is also a favorite in Spice Yourself Skinny. And I add pineapple here and there throughout. And that's because this is really key in detoxing your body. It has bromelain in it, which is a digestive enzyme, which has been proven to aid in digesting protein, breaking down fats, and reducing inflammation. It's also. This is another bonus. It boosts your mood if you're experiencing symptoms of pms. Okay, now that sounds pretty good, doesn't it? Sounds pretty awesome. Okay, so that's three of them. So four green apples. So a green apple. This is high in fiber, and when you have more fiber, it makes you feel more full because fiber is bulky. But fiber actually doesn't digest in your body. It just moves through your body. So, like, if you're eating an apple or you're eating other foods, like I'm going to talk about flaxseeds is number seven, which is key, which has a lot of fiber in it. You're getting full, but you're not eating all the calories. So it would take you like so many chips and so many cookies to actually feel full, like to actually feel the satisfying fullness that you feel at the bottom of your stomach where you're like, I don't need anything else, I don't need anything else to eat. That's what the green apple, that's what having fiber in your food gives you. So green apple is really good. Now one thing about apples is they do have quite a bit of sugar which most people don't realize or talk about. So I recommend having half an apple or having a spoon. Small apple cabbage. This also has a lot of fiber, it also has a lot of water content. So it's cleansing your body. And this obviously increases weight loss because it's keeping you full. It's super low calorie, super filling. It just makes you feel amazing. Okay. The apple cider vinegar. So this is really, really great. It contains acetic acid which has been shown to lower blood pressure and it also helps to eat up the starches if you happen to have any grains in your diet. That's kind of why it's detoxifying. And it says that it helps you reduce your body fat percentage. So we can see about that. But the vinegar, just the properties of vinegar is so amazing. And then flaxseeds are really, really key. I include this in many of my smoothies. And also if you are vegetarian or vegan, or if you want to eat more of a non meat diet, please check out the eight eggless recipes packed with protein. Because I have a huge appendix in there where I talk about flaxseeds, chia seeds, I talk about all of these extra vegetarian and vegan kind of what I call natural supplements which give you more protein. But the key about flaxseeds is that it gives you a lot of fiber. So like I said before, with apple, it is giving you, it helps you feel full and you're feeling full but with less calories. So I like adding these to my smoothies in the morning because you have smoothies, you have some veggies, you have protein and you are satisfied for three hours. Okay? So you must add these ingredients in and it's also one of the sources of omega 3 fatty acids and lignin, which can facilitate weight loss. OK, so let's see. Should we avoid red apples? No, no, that's a good question. I know. No, that's a good question. No, the green app, just because green is like a little. It's just detoxifying. You don't have to you don't have to avoid red apples, but green apples is key to the detox phase. So you might want to add in a couple more green instead of red during this phase. So here's the week one menu plan. I just wanted to review this with you. I just wanted to show you a few things. So for example, the water.
