It was so easy. That's what I loved about it. I loved that the dishes, you could prep, you know, three days in advance, store them, and be looking forward to them the next day. And it's flavorful and nutritious. You can't get any better than that, honestly.
It's got to be fast. It's got to be tasty. It's got to be something that my kids would eat. I know so many other women struggle with getting healthier and trying to do so much but not seeing the results. I've been there.
I feel like it's always following the latest trend, whether it's Atkins or South beach or counting calories, doing weight watching, which I loved, Weight Watchers. But it's so much thought that goes into everything that you eat. You want to just have something where you can just know what you have to eat for that day and just be done with it.
I think I want to be healthy, but the reality of implementing a healthy menu and healthy food shopping is hard. The best part is, after a long day of work, I'm able to come home and help my young son with his homework and help him learn how to read. I have the energy to do that instead of wanting to just sit on the couch after I ate it.
I feel, like, full and energized, not weighed down by, like, heavy starches and carbs where you just want to take a nap. You feel like you're ready to move on to the next activity and that your night doesn't have to end at dinner time. You can go and move on and do activities with your family or your friends and not feel weighed down, ready to go to bed. I felt satisfied without feeling sluggish and like, oh, my gosh, I overindulged. I shouldn't have eaten that. And it was great.
I went to a wedding recently and wore a dress that I could have never, never worn. A few years ago, my husband was at the wedding and hadn't seen me when I walked into the reception hall. He literally did a double take and couldn't stop staring at me. And then what he said was, oh, my God, babe, you look amazing. And it made me feel so great that he saw my accomplishment, and I just felt so good about myself. It was one of the best nights I'd ever had.
