Michele making better choices step by step

This is a YouTube video titled "Michele making better choices step by step" containing a personal narrative or self-reflection by a speaker named Michelle discussing her weight loss journey, dietary changes, and lifestyle improvements as of July 25, 2025. The content focuses on her progress, challenges, and mindset shifts related to health and nutrition.
Okay, so how are you feeling, Michelle, about your weight loss of 9.6 pounds or actually 11, you know, almost 11 pounds when it got to your lowest two and a half inches off of your bust, four inches from your waist and 2.75 inches from your hips. How does that make you feel?
It makes me feel like I have hope, you know, for the rest of it because I have a long journey ahead of myself. And so seeing those winds, whether or not the scale is going up and down, the measurements like you said, you brought those up. That that's what keeps me going. Before, because of my schedule, I was so busy. I was just running and getting so much food, restaurants and you know, going through drive throughs and such and then the caffeine cycle and it's gotten me off of primarily mostly the Diet Coke because I don't drink coffee or tea. So that was my only source, a caffeine. So I'm not as tired because of the protein shakes in the morning. So I'm not relying upon that. When I do get stressed out, I notice that I want a Diet Coke. So that is just something I think that will go away because it doesn't taste the same to me so that I can see the difference. I will have to say I went through McDonald's drive thru yesterday not having a good day. I'm like, oh, just why don't you go get a cookie? You know, you can get one from them. So I don't have anything in the house and they gave me a cheeseburger. So that was me, the universe telling me I didn't need a cookie and I didn't want the cheeseburger so I just threw it away. So, you know, it didn't even sound good. I don't want your double cheeseburger with fake cheese. I just wanted the one chocolate chip cookie so that I think I was really mad about it. And then I went, wait, re look at it. That's the universe talking to you. So that has changed. You know, beginning to cook at home, which was a big, big thing for me. You know, I got very organized and bought two sets of glassware so that I could chop up stuff. And now when I go to the grocery store, I chop up every vegetable in advance and just have it. You know, if they're the green pep or the peppers, you know, they're in strips, maybe I need to dice it some more. But I don't have that stopping me going, oh my gosh, look at all the prep I need to do. So that's Helped me, you know, trying to make the best choices. I don't want fries anymore. I noticed before, if I would do something, I would, you know, want those fries. I think I told you they tasted horrible. I don't want them. They taste nasty. Yeah. The only thing I'd really ever tried before, because I've always believed diets weren't the way to go. And I had done noom, and so because of, you know, putting in the food stuff and really going, okay, this is a way of life, that was good for me. But the whole protein component of that and seeing the science and I think that part of me, it. It makes me think about it constantly, because I know that counting count, because I just showed somebody one of my good days and said. They said, oh, well, what about. What are you doing? The carbs? I said, I'm not counting them. The macros are there. But let me show you what I have. And they're like, well, but what were those calories, though? And I'm like, 1376. And I'm like, what? You ate all that food and it was only 13? I said, yeah, so I'm not paying attention to the calories. If I pay attention to the macros and start off with the protein and fill that out, everything else falls into place, and the calories just are where they need to be. That's a different way of thinking. Whereas even with noom, you're putting the stuff in and you're watching the stuff, I mean, there was a little bit more to it, but this is easier.
